Re: Some thoughts on jumping and acrobatics
It would make sense to have the enemies try to maneuver themselves into an upright position, but I think the complaint is more that when they land standing none of the force of impact of the fall is visible. It might add to immersion to be able to see them stagger a little bit after big falls.

Re: Pathetic incompetence - the Wolfire story, too?
I do see a small risk actually, especially in the graphics department (excuse me Aubrey). While I think the engine, the effects, the animation etc seems to be on the right track. I still find the character models presented a bit lacking. What worries me is the risk that the final Turner will look a...

Re: Water In Lugaru 2
Why would you have to, exactly? Who in real life is able to do martial arts while swimming? There wouldn't have to be combat in water, you could allow NPC's the ability to throw a knife in the back of your neck or your back while you try to swim away. yay sensibility! I'm not sure I really understa...

Re: Unofficial, alpha 51 weekly build
Could happen if your internet connection is unstable and is now an issue, because with the verification of the alpha key the file is only made available specifically for you to download. Only solution I see: Seize all other internet activity and pray for a stable connection that actually sounds pre...

Re: Unofficial, alpha 45 weekly build
I think one thing about the old model that was a lot better was the lower leg... I guess technically the foot region. It was much longer, and went further back, which made the model look much springier and more rabbitlike. I also agree with the people who have been advising shrinking the chest. Righ...

Re:
People throw the word "ninja" into everything. Don't read too much into it. his post was much less about ninjas and much more about a gameplay idea he had. he wasn't saying because it's called a ninja rabbit fighting game that they had to be more like ninjas. he was saying that he had an ...

Re: Why Overgrowth Needs Water (Courtesy Herman Melville)
haha, I've heard all of the arguments against water, and I pretty much agree with them. This made me laugh because of how in sync it was with the discussion we were having, and what an eloquent argument he made.
I wonder what Herman Melville would make of the whaleman...

Why Overgrowth Needs Water (Courtesy Herman Melville)
Here is an artist. He desires to paint you the dreamiest, shadiest, quietest, most enchanting bit of romantic landscape in all the valley of the Saco. What is the chief element he employs? There stand his trees, each with a hollow trunk, as if a hermit and a crucifix were within; and here sleeps his...
