Re: Auto-updater UI

Don't waste your time working on a complex layout, all the work is already done and I think we prefer to have the game and the editor finished instead of spending time on details that are not essentials for usability.

Re: Auto-updater UI

Although they're very old, the Warcraft III website were amazing graphically : http://classic.battle.net/war3/human/ http://classic.battle.net/war3/orc/ http://classic.battle.net/war3/nightelf/ http://classic.battle.net/war3/undead/ I love how they adapt the universe of each race to the layout of th...

Re: Art tutorials : Screencast, WIP, and Fanart.

Oh yes I planned to share it but I totally forgot !
Here it is, 40mb full layered PSD at high resolution :
http://www.timsoret.com/out/og/lugaru2.psd

It's not "that" detailed in high resolution, bur for an icon purpose it works well.

Re: Lugaru HD (Work in Progress thread)

I made some experiments with the characters but because of the lack of polygons, you won't really notice the difference between the HD version and the SD one.

Re: Lugaru HD (Work in Progress thread)

I don't really plan to spend more time on it. I know some elements could be more polished , like the green tone of the grass, the desert trees, etc... But I can't allow myself to spend more time on this project : I'm a freelance designer and I have a LOT of things to do. Otherwise, if someone want t...

Re: Art tutorials : Screencast, WIP, and Fanart.

It's exactly that, except that the specular map is essential to simulate the irregular and grainy reflections of skin, sweat, etc... I'll detail everything in the video tutorial, I hope you'll be able to understand my poor English as I'm french :D

Re: Some SPF loot from Aubrey

The construction process is really interesting. Positionning and scaling textured blocks is an interesting way to build quickly a lot of different structures. But, according to me, it's lacking of occlusion (controlled intersections) and lighting : all faces are lightened equally. I'm eager to see w...

Re: Lugaru HD (Work in Progress thread)

Lotus : You can use my texture pack for Lugaru 1.5, that's not an issue ! On my side, I don't really know if I want to push the quality even higher for Lugaru HD, my own pack, not yours. I really want to release the final pack but I'm not sure when to say "ok, it's done". There will be alw...

Re: Lugaru HD (Work in Progress thread)

Actually I'm lost. In my spare time I'm seeking for new sound effects. I want to keep them as close as possible to the original sounds, but what an hard task. And after some experiments, I was asking myself : Do I really want to denaturate Lugaru ? At first, I just wanted to increase the visual qual...

Re: Lugaru HD (Work in Progress thread)

Thanks for the feedback. Mac OS X has a disturbing behavior when creating zip files, it copies invisible files specifics to Mac OS X. That's why you see these when unzipping on your PC. I'll made a clean archive using YemuZip that compresses folders while ignoring all mac-related files : it's perfec...

Re: GIFT : Lugaru HD (WIP thread)

Happy new year guys ! Incredible news : You used 10.94 Gb of my bandwith !!! I'm blown away, it means Lugaru HD has been downloaded 390 times. For a WIP pack, it's amazing. I'm really proud to see you're interested in my work, I didn't expected that :D I'll reward you by releasing the final version ...

Re: The [Somewhat] Official Lugaru 1.5 Collaboration Thread

Tim's made a wonderful texture pack, very lovely. (i can't unzip the file btw, but it looks really good from what i see in the thread.) Really strange. I'll make a .rar package along with the .zip for the final release, which should hopefully allow everybody to try Lugaru HD ingame. Screenshots wer...

Re: GIFT : Lugaru HD (WIP thread)

Wow guys I've been totally amazed by the popularity of this pack ! Already 1.46Gb of bandwith used, each download costs 28 mb. It means the pack has been downloaded 52 times in less than 24 hours. Totally crazy for a simple WIP thread lost in the forum. I can't imagine what it will be when Wolfire w...
