Re: Auto updater thoughts
I'd suggest making it so it can do background downloads while you play. Few things are more frustrating than having to wait for a 200 meg download when you want to play.

Same for me. US mirror doesn't work, but the EU and your original slow mirrors do work.Jarmendes wrote:Nice, but how many times do I have to tell you guys that the fast mirrors never work. They always lead to a dead link past the "Enter in your key and download" page.

Re: Open source
I thought the Lugaru source was lost in a hard drive crash though. The man was lying about that too!?

Open source
So what was this about open sourcing all the bundle games if you guys got a million dollars? It was in the video but it's no longer on the site. Trying to throw us a fast one?
Searched but this didn't come up.

Re: Linux project, help needed. Linux users please take a look
So basically, the premise of a performance test is to take something that both systems can do, and see which does it better. You have to define "better" though. It could be anything from faster (easier and less subjective) to most user friendly (harder and more subjective). One you decide ...

Re: Using Linux
No offense but that doesn't sound much like a science project to me. I would suggest that you follow the scientific method and prove that Linux is better than Windows. Which it is by the way You could do random sample usability tests. For instance tell people with no Windows or Linux experience to c...

Re: Looking for spam police
Another idea is to create a sub-forum that auto deletes any account that posts in it. Have a few fake threads for the spambots to post in and they'll eventually kill themselves. I've seen this implemented on other forums with fair success.
Re: Hitler
Right, overlooked that. Thanks Glabbit. How's the mod going?
Re: Hitler
To pull off means to make it work.
Re: Hitler
I think it's good. A few suggestions: First off, you should look up The Gimp , it's a free image manipulation program, similar to Photoshop. For your plans with the horror, it might be easier to do a psychological horror in this engine than a slasher one. Elements of the engine such as the minimap p...

Re: Awesomium and Linux support
I second Wilbefast even if he does use Ubuntu and tuxator. You guys don't know what this means to us (well maybe you do, back from the dark days of Mac gaming). Almost no-one supports us, and to have someone do it so graciously, it's just amazing. On a side note, you still having icculus do the port...

Awesomium and Linux support
You guys are waiting on Awesomium for Linux support, I know that. But what if it never gets ported to Linux? Are you going to drop Linux support? Make your own GUI system? CLI? I'm content waiting, but I'd like to know if there's a contingency plan.
