Re: "Transmiter" Ideas for prequel to Receiver
With this sort of extremely detailed gun-combat, really the only thing that appeals to me is player-vs-player. Imagine the excitement of finding cover to reload your gun after it gets jammed while another player advances on you down a dark corridor. Or, imagine mastering a bullet ricochet and using ...

Re: FPS POV for future Oculus Rift support?
I think limited OR viewing would be kinda cool. Just a dual camera setup to see the character in third person. I don't know if anyone has tried a third person Oculus Rift setup.

Re: Character WIP: Wolverine
Fixing up topology and making him more anatomically accurate. His arm loop has one too many verts, so that needs to be fixed up.

Re: Character WIP: Wolverine
Rigging and such is probably just as time-consuming as the modeling - perhaps even more so. And you'd do the rigging in Blender any way, so it shouldn't be a problem if you're willing to try it. It could be kind of cool, since if you got it working, your character could then be animated in Blender ...

Re: Character WIP: Wolverine
Well, someone would need to rig it and such. I wouldn't be able to work out all the kinks myself, so anyone who wants to mess around with the model once I'm done can do whatever they want with it.EPR89 wrote:You mean, just get the folder structure right and test it in the game?

Character WIP: Wolverine
Hey err'one, I was thinking of getting in on this character creation frenzy. I'm working on a wolverine model; but, seeing as my graphics card doesn't support OG well at all, I was wondering if someone else would be up to the task of integrating it into the game. I'll post pics periodically to show ...
Re: THE BAT!
Freaking incredible. This is by far the best character I've seen on here.

Alright, I'll stop getting my jollies from jabbing the new preorderers. Probably not the best thing for the community.Endoperez wrote:It was a joke ridiculing the new guy. I wouldn't mind it if it was just this one time, but I've noticed it's been going on in here for a while.Noz wrote:C'mon. It was funny.

There is a little white box on the top right hand side of the forum page that allows you to access the vast archive of countless "I want dismemberment" threads currently collecting dust. Please use it. You could probably publish a large, marginless tome with all of the dismemberment sugges...

Re: What you expect/want Overgrowth to be?
Very true but I think we all have something we expect from the game without mods? Yeah, I'm expecting a combat based, level by level, action/stealth/puzzle/exploration game with a linear plot line as revealed by nearly every single alpha video and blog post. There's no reason to speculate on what t...

Re: Violence and its impact
Yeah, David really wants to put an emphasis on how much violence the player uses, as far as I've heard. Making us second guess hacking enemies apart with large axes and stuff is pretty brutal, so why not make the player feel bad for doing it. It's a give-take thing. You get the awesome of brutal de...

Re: NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!
There needs to be an open world with villages, different biomes, and races to talk to and fight throughout the world. From each village or random person you encounter you will receive quests that could include fighting, retrieving, racing, or assassinating. Definitely:The devs shouldn't get to work...
