I love this, it's easily the best board game on the computer, which isn't saying much but it's still fun to play with strangers.
David if you could do this in a few games do you think you could make a life like Chess Board? Hopefully with the ability to flip the board over when you're losing?

Re: Download Receiver for free! (7-day FPS game)
Wonderful game Wolfire, in seven days you guys make a cooler stealth game than what most studios make after years in development. This core concept is just so much fun as the player navigates the world trying to avoid being shot up by machines. The gun mechanics intelligently punish careless actions...

Shareware: The Past and Future of PC Gaming
If I had a nickle for every time I read on the internet that "PC Gaming is dead" I would have a lot of money right now. They proclaim that developers no longer want to support it when they can just sell their games on the consoles and escape from a complex Platform that requires a lot of w...

Re: dismemberment`?
Maybe I'm just sick in the head but I think cutting off limbs and heads off enemies is very entertaining and I hope Overgrowth has as much as possible. I was just playing Dark Messiah of Might and Magic (which is a very unpolished but fun game) and it is just satisfying to chop an enemies head off. ...

Found this article quite disturbing and envisioned Turner killing rabbits by an overpass.

Re: Unofficial, alpha 49 weekly build
I just used the "your SPF page" because I forgot my key and that is a great feature. It was very fast and well done. Can't wait to try the animator, I haven't downloaded an Alpha since 43 so I can't wait to see all the new features!

Overgrowth should have a Powerup Item
*Note Half-Life 2 spoiler below; if you haven't completed Half-Life 2 stop what you are doing and play it right now* Every great action game has it. It's the Power Pellet in Pac-Man that turns the player from the hunted to the hunter. It's the Starman in Mario that lets the previously cautious Plumb...

"What Are You Playing" Thread
It's the summer, time for some gaming, although only a few good games are out now. :( After a grueling term in college I decided to play games that I missed over the past few years so I bought Bioshock off Steam. The production values are simply amazing. And after realizing that you could disable th...

Game looks really cool. I'd like to play it a bit before I sink in 60 bucks for it though. Damn lack of Arcades in America.

Re: Overgrowth: too ambitious?
I have to agree that for such a small team Overgrowth seems like quite a lot. But I guess sometimes you have to reach for the stars right. I'm sure it was ambitious for Jobs and Wozniak to make a computer out of their garage. And I'm sure it was ambitious for [insert smart and wealthy person(s)] to ...

Anticipations
I don't know if anyone else here reads this blog, but John K (creator of Ren and Stimpy) has a very fascinating blog where he comments on the fine details of cartooning, and I found this post very interesting about the starting points of animation. http://johnkstuff.blogspot.com/2009/02/anticipation...

Re: Alpha 10 Links
Wow, Procedural Animation rules. I love how Turner is slowed down by going up a mountain and how you're basically encouraged to hop constantly to make up for the lost of speed.
Excellent.
Excellent.
