Re: multiple language support?

I haven't followed the alpha developement for some time, but I don't think the dialogue system is definite yet. That said, my guess would be that the data will be present as some form of XML, so there should be no problem of introducing language packs as mods. As for the question if and why English ...

I am not sure, if I understood you right, but have you tried to change the resolution and/or go fullscreen? Maybe that will fix that problem.

Re: Disgusted

What joke? Aren't you agnostic? (or atheist?) How could you ever worship an agnostic ... I mean, how could someone claim to be a god, and yet not know if god exists :P The other reason, why your attempt at a joke failed miserably, was, that you had to laugh - that's a laughing smiley there or...

Re: Renegade_Turner Schools the Wolfire Forums on Semantics

It wasn't a matter of fooling anyone, it was a matter of who wanted me to be wrong, despite the fact that I wasn't. Envy will get you nowhere, you could just worship me instead guys. Still not enough worship after another thread title with your name in it? You are getting greedy. But guess that is ...

Re: An experiment in excessive freedom

Happened to me too - this is why I dislike JRPGs :x It could happen in any game. However, JRPGs must be especially hard to balance. If a player gets few extra levels early on, how long does he have an edge above his enemies? If the player has fewer levels than the designers assumed, how long will h...

I just wanted to ask, if you are aware that you are leading a two page discussion, started by a spambot? Pretty funny (and pretty clever spambot).

Re: God damn you, procrastination!

Orly? What year was this? Before they switched to the Bachelor/Master system? Is that new? It's been in place ever since I began college 3 years ago. 2004. My year actually was the last year in which computer science students studied in the diploma system at my university. Germany always had a syst...

Re: God damn you, procrastination!

You all will so envy me now. I recently graduated and didn't have problems to find a job as software developer at all, in retrospect. 10 applications sent and 3 offerings of which one was a bit strange, so in the end I could choose between 2 good jobs. Guess computer science is the way to go now (or...

Re: Disgusted

* This is of course converse to your theory for this whole argument, i.e. that I am a god and am therefore both omnipotent and omniscient. Why does this pop up again. Didn't I already point out that omnipotency is a paradoxical concept? Same goes for omniscience. Basically every term handling compl...

Re: Disgusted

Good observation there SamW, but may I address an issue with what you said. For example one could be worshiped and be immortal without being all powerful. This is not an 'example', in fact the word "all powerful" is meaningless in itself. Noone and nothing can be all powerful, therefore no...

Ehem, Richie... may I point you to the fact that your posting has become pretty predictable, the one thing not permitted by this thread's unwritten rules?

Re: Robbert runs like a girl

Blorx, there is no reason to be confused. I would say the picture shows a girl, and a cute one at that. But I could be mistaken regarding the fact that the first time I saw the Tokyo Hotel guy I thought he was a girl, too. He is much less cute than the girl on the picture though. But the picture doe...

Re: Mod manager?

This thread (especially the posts from Jeff) could be interesting for you. Something like you suggest definitely was planned and I see no reason why they should have dropped this. I think I even saw a blog post about an initial user interface for it, but I can't seem to find it. There also is an up...
