Re: Press Check

It's a problem with Unity, you either have it or you don't. For me it ejects around 40% of the time.

Re: 1911 thumb safety - dead giveaway

I'd like to see safety have some real use in the game, currently it's pretty useless. Even if it means having to check it.

As far as topic goes, I like the idea, and I'd implement it like this: hold V to rotate the gun to check safety, short press to toggle.

Re: Receiver Graphical Performance

hmm, yeah, I forgot about the shadows, I usually play on lower settings. It'd be cool if we could get some official word on this, what's their plan and all :)

Re: Receiver Graphical Performance

it's mostly due to Unity's bastard business model, where occlusion culling (which is essential for any reasonable 3d game) is disabled unless you pay for the Pro version

Re: Did... I shoot myself?

There are ricochets in the game, it's possible that you died from your own bullet, and that also makes the flesh sound you described.

Re: Receiver Melee item concept (image)

How about a water squirt gun? Make drone wet, then tease it to buzz you and it electrocutes itself.

Re: I can't hear the flying drones

Damn, that's what I thought. I have 5.1 speakers on Creative X-Fi card that I think is doing some filtering and somehow the filter makes the sound gets cancelled.

I can't hear the flying drones

I almost can't hear the flying drones if I'm not looking directly at them, or face directly away (180 degrees) from them. Does anybody else have the same problem? I decided to figure out why that's happening so I messed with the game source in Unity (drones don't attack because I've made them blind ...

Re: Receiver Experience/Problem

So far the problems are: engine related: - engine is very resource hungry/unoptimized - enemies going into sleep mode at some distance which is too close - loading hiccup when entering rooms asset related: - problematic assets, usually stairs (getting stuck, cannot climb, death by downward accelerat...
