Re: Weapon Additions - Updated Nov. 16th
I feel like, in all these high powered longarm mods, the core idea of Receiver has kind of lost its way as a survival game... Plus its screws with some of the tapes, which specifically state that you have a handgun, although one tapes still refers to the gun as an M1911... I actually think some of ...

The first is the Cop Derringer http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/COP_357_Derringer http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/d/d7/Cop_357_Derringer.jpg A simple break-open 4-shot pistol chambered for .357 rounds. If that isn't interesting enough it could be loaded with Quad custom ammo. http://i51.p...

Re: Weapon Additions - Updated Nov. 16th
Finally encountered the gun drone on the firing range.
That thing is quite scary.
If they're put back into Receiver, I would suggest making them fairly rare.
Having that thing fly at you while it's spewing bullets isn't a very pleasant experience.

Are there plans to put them in?

Re: Weapon Additions - Updated Nov. 16th
I'd say ditch the safety. I think the import models of the TT1933 9 (which had the safety) were 9 mm P since the 7.62 mm round for which it was originally chambered could punch through body armor. If it's a 9 mm P pistol, there's not much point in having it since there already is a 9 mm P pistol in ...

Re: Weapon Additions - Updated Nov. 16th
Just a minor nit but I don't think the TT1933 has a safety, at least not in the same sense that the 1911 has one.

Re: Weapon Additions - Updated Nov. 16th
Odd "bug" due to disappearing brass...shoot a bunch of rounds with your revolver...and if you wait long enough, you don't even need to empty the spent brass since it disappears.

Re: Weapon Additions - Updated Nov. 16th
I'd just like to say great mod! I know the bolt-action rifle is a place holder and I'm sure someone else has probably mentioned this and this will probably be "fixed" but currently, you can use a flashlight while aiming the rifle. I like all the new fire-arms; it's taking me a while to get...

Re: Ch - ch - changes
Oh yeah - when firing the revolver in double-action mode, I suggest a little bit "wobble" be added to model the effect of an extra long (and hard) trigger pull compared to a single-action trigger pull.

One of the tapes refers to your gun as an 1911A. With the two new guns, this no longer holds true. On another note, I like the Glock but...it's frickin' overpowered. It can basically do everything the 1911A can do but hold more ammo and it's capable of selective fire. The S&W M10 is distinctive ...

Re: Multiplayer Implementation is happening.
I think PvP would be interesting since: 1) The detailed gun mechanics of Receiver would give PvP battles a different flavor compared to what's available out there. And the potential for high comedy (two people fumbling to reload after they've emptied their guns at each other) and high tension is too...

OMG - there's a Glock 18 in the game.
My brain just exploded.

Re: Downloading updates?
Okay - never mind - I remembered how I did it last time. Downloaded the update and...you start with a revolver now? I love it. I love how the shell casings get caught on the extractor when you dump them. I also love how you can check which shells have been fired by the dented primers. Do you just st...

Downloading updates?
This may seem like a stupid question but I can't figure out how to download updated versions of the game. I paid for one of the old builds but would like to get an updated version but there isn't an obvious way to do it on the Receiver web-site.

Re: 1911 thumb safety - dead giveaway
There's another problem with the thumb safety.
On a 1911A, if the safety is on, it is physically impossible to rack the slide since the safety physically blocks the slide from moving.
