Re: Steam Exlusively

It's not going to be steam exclusive. In fact, the devs were working with other game networks similar to steam to make it more available and it's going to be available on wolfire's website too. 1. I don't want to preorder, but I want to know if I can still buy it directly from Wolfire after it's rel...

Re: free copies after finishing creation?

Companies usually gives free games when they celebrate something, like they did for Command & Conquer, GTA 1&2, TES: Arena and TES: Daggerfall recently (I'm sure I missed a lot). In those case, they were old games, not new ones. But that would hurt big time if they give away a game that have being r...

Re: A nice trick for sqeezeing the best performance out of games

You mean the vertical sync, right? Actually, it makes games running smoother by stabilizing the fps basing on the refresh rate of the monitor. It reduce the image tearing, which makes games looking slower at higher fps (or something like that).

Re: A nice trick for sqeezeing the best performance out of games

Hum... not really. I do not have the budget to have an high end monitor. ^^;

Actually, I though it was best to run at native resolution just for best image quality, but I don't really know it can effect performance that way.

Re: A nice trick for sqeezeing the best performance out of games

In some games, it even happens to have better performance at higher resolutions.

Yeah, it's rather illogical, but still. :lol:

Re: I CANT USE THE ALPHA BUILDS!!! I PAID MONEY!!

I can see at least one problem with Noz' setup: the NVidia 5500 is really (really!) slow nowadays. I'm seriously doubting it will ever work with Overgrowth ... so don't get your hopes up! It would still be playable. Besides, as far I know, the alphas are not quite optimised so there is no minimum s...
