Would you have an issue relicensing your scripts to GPLv2? Mostly for simplicity's sake, since the current license appears to be compatible with GPL. I was thinking icculus could make a Tools folder in his repository and these would make a great addition.

Don't use sudo su! That puts you in root's environment, with all new environment variables (e.g. $HOME folder, etc). Don't be surprised if you do something like that and then you have problems because your configuration files are in /root instead of /home/<user>. Always stick to prepending sudo to c...
