Re: Unofficial Overgrowth a115, weekly build
I'm excited to try out the camera movements, I'll definitely be giving that a shot as soon as possible. EDIT: I'll be setting up my NAS server to seed the torrents (PC and MAC) tonight when I get back home. It should be up sometime before Friday, after that I should be able to have newer files up ne...

Oh, that's easy!Endoperez wrote:The rig seems to work. However, if you want to use the existing animations, you might need to rig it using the skeleton the rabbit uses. I'm not sure how feasible that would be.
Dear god what have I done.

Re: Having Problems Installing! Help!
Downloaded winmd5sum, used the a113 build, compared it, and they are different. Now what..? This means you got a bad download, and the file is corrupt. I suggest re-downloading the file and just trying again. Also, you may want to try out Memtest86+ next time you do any work to your computer. A bad...

Re: Where's your Euphoria now?
Having a character go half-limp after taking a beating comes to mind, and is certainly something worth implementing.

Re: Having Problems Installing! Help!
On the page with the download link there is a MD5 hash sum listed. If you're on Windows, Google around for a good program to check the MD5 sum of the installer file and see if it matches. If it doesn't, you have a corrupt download.

Yep. Took a good 10 days to get to this point but it was worth it. Still working on it, still finding out some neat tricks in Blender.Pete Hawk wrote:Nice work on the rigging. Gotta say, the new animation stuff is awesome. Can't wait to mess with the new blendable animations.

Re: Torrents vs Download Mirrors
Personally, I do not use torrents, nor do I have a torrent client installed. It's not that I have anything against the method, but when I go to buy software online, or I look for freeware software like GIMP or Notepad++, I'm given a download link, not a torrent file. Installing a torrent client for ...

Re: How did you find about Overgrowth?
Got Lugaru through the HIB a while back, and thought it was pretty fun. Afterwards I remembered that the dev team for it was working on another game that was advertised a while back alongside Natural Selection 2, which none of my friends will shut up about. Overgrowth was again brought to my attenti...

Re: Project Showoff
Not a bad start. Plan out the shoulders and the elbows, and hips and knees, on paper before attempting to model them. Those can cause trouble when you start animating unless they're designed well. I've spend a good deal of time working out this character's design. It won't have the complete range o...

1. Radeon HD 5750
2. Desktop
3. Windows 7 Professional 64-bit
4. Alpha 112
5. Works.
6. At 1600 x 900 with 4 GB of RAM and an AMD Phenom X4 940, framerate has not dropped below 145, though I haven't been too harsh on the engine yet.
I'll test it out on my laptop later and post that as well.

Re: Project Showoff
Presently modeling a character from a project I'm working on. If all goes well with the process and the engine satisfies the requirements for what I have in mind, given the time I may begin a total conversion when the final version of Overgrowth and the Phoenix engine are ready. For now though, it's...
