Re: Running Animations:

I certainly agree with this. It looks very weird when running downhill and such. Actually, the stages you're talking about seems like something that would make a huge difference, and make movement feel a lot more natural. There should be a certain threshold, a limit to how fast you can run downhill ...

Overgrowth needs a replay function

I think the title pretty much sums it up. I was playing a bit of GTA the other day, when it struck me; Overgrowth needs a replay function. Just imagine something awesome happening, there's a great swirl of movements, blood and flailing limbs everywhere, but only for a couple of seconds. Adding a rep...

Re: Dismemberment.

I'd like to see arms or legs break from hammer blows. Rendering them unable to fight. I think that decapitation should be implemented, but on a very rare occasion. Like in Lugaru, swords and staffs were certainly powerful, but as a player I was relying more on fists and knives. So my final thoughts ...

Re: Dismemberment in Overgrowth

Excessive gore, as in a lot of blood/guts/flesh.
The right sounds and animation can make it brutal enough :)

Re: Dismemberment in Overgrowth

I'd love to see breaking arms and legs, teeth flying etc. perhaps even decapitation on a final blow, but nothing excessive. There's so much more brutality to be found in subtle, but effective effects. such as; blocking hammer with arm, arm breaks *breaking bones sound*, arm turns limp. There's no ne...

Re: 460 GTX crash

Well, being the first time I've tried the alpha I wasn't sure how to do it. I tried the good old Lugaru method, by ninja rolling in air into a rock. Then it crashed!

Re: 460 GTX crash

I was able to make it run for a while yesterday!

I set anisotropy and multisample to 0, and set fullscreen = true.

I was able to load up the engine, the map and fly around for a bit. I was even able to run around with Robbert! :)

It crashed when I tried to make him ragdoll, however.

Re: 460 GTX crash

Having the exact same problem.. GTX 460 1gb..

Shame. Been waiting to try this since it was first announced, and I've kept following the blog since alpha release #1. :(

I guess it'll work when the game is finished!

"Shader fallback path currently unsupported"?

When I try to run the alphas, I get this error message first: "Shader fallback path currently unsupported" Then I click "OK", and this one comes up: "On line 716 of textures.cpp: invalid enumerant" I click OK, and the whole thing shuts down. It's not really a big hassle...
