Re: Dual Graphics Cards

If you have a laptop and a nvidia gpu, it may be an issue with Optimus. Optimus is an nvidia technology that switches off your graphical card when it is not needed to improve battery performance. The problem with Optimus is that it's basically based on a list of games that needs the graphical card, ...

Re: 1911 thumb safety - dead giveaway

The difference is, if I get startled in real life that maybe anything that I shouldn't shoot at.
In Receiver if I get startled it's because I have a tazbot rushing my way, no other reason :)

Re: 1911 thumb safety - dead giveaway

And the gun tilting sideways slightly when the safety is on as a visual indicator is probably better than having to check the damn thing before you set off and then never use it again. Well I'd prefer that to not checking the damn thing before I set off and then never use it again :D I think that n...

Re: 1911 thumb safety - dead giveaway

I agree with the safety problem. In my opinion it should work the same way you can check if there's a round in the chamber : Let's disable the position shift when safety is on, but add a button that when held shifts the gun away. This way whenever you start the game you have to think about moving th...

Re: Press Check

You can, it's in the advanced controls :
Hold T, then press R, then release T.

It allows you to check if you have a round in the chamber without ejecting it.

(It doesn't work 100%, sometimes it ejects the round, maybe I'm doing it wrong)

Re: Unofficial Overgrowth a169, weekly build

Just let me rephrase : They don't owe me an update every week. I'm amazed they have been able to release one almost every week for the last few years. They could skip a week, or even a month, and I wouldn't dare protesting : I paid to support them, to get the game in the long term, and to be involve...

Re: Unofficial Overgrowth a169, weekly build

The charity thing is not a good argument. I don't care that they skip a week. There are a lot of reasons why they should postpone an update, and it's their reason, they don't even have to share it with me. But the "There's no update because they're doing CHARITY !" is stupid beyond reason....

Re: Did I waste money?

I preordered and the alpha never worked for me despite a thread and a mail to the support.
But I am a patient man ! I'll play it gladly at the release.

Grey "Phoenix" screen at launch

Hi, I'm using a laptop with a 9600M GT graphic card (it looks compatible with the game according to the "Supported Video Card" thread). Whenever I launch the game, I have to windows that open, one console titled "Overgrowth.exe", and a grey screen titled "Phoenix". I'm ...
