Procedural content. Overgrowth gets better and better.
I really love procedural content.
Just when you thought it'd be enough to figure out a plan of attack "Lol, nope. Here's what you didn't expect. Also, have this axe in the face."

Re: Tough Love
Are you a game developer? Probably not. So don't go telling developers how to make their games. 'Fluff and modability' might well make up vital ground work for bigger things.

I want a cutting system, that allows you to cut off body parts with unblocked weapon attacks. I realize it's a HUGE coding job, but I was thinking something along the lines of MGS:R's cutting system. Ideally, this would allow you to not just cut specific body parts off, but also cut free-hand (so y...

Personally I think the blood could be darker overall. Maybe it's just my own, but the bunny-blood is still a little too bright at the end, and too light at the start. That said, I haven't played the alpha, so it might just be the video.

Discovered on customised Red Desert, leaping from a platform about 3/4 of the way up one of the giant rock formations. update: Also tested on Painted desert, just to make sure it wasn'...

Re: Newbie fighting (video)
Yup. I used little finger on A, forefinger on F and shift it to C when I need to crouch in games. I also use F for various things if it's necessary.
Still, temporary, personalised, setback aside - you're damn good.

Re: Newbie fighting (video)
That's pretty cool. Reinforces the importance of the crouch. I avoid crouching now because I always use C to crouch, shift was just awkward, so I remapped it, but C also toggles the hostility (something I couldn't remap as far as I remember) so every time I crouch they become docile. My fighting is ...
