Re: Look at the comments on the Haphead video!

Hey sorry for the lack of response. The questions were really meant to be theoretical, I was just sort of using them as examples. I could find more specific ones that are concerns, but I think I've already made it look like I'm more invested than I really am. I find ethics to be an interesting topic...

Re: Look at the comments on the Haphead video!

Well neither side has much organization, which is probably the root of some of the problem. It's easy to shift blame when where you're shifting it to and from is unclear. It makes it so you can say that the actions of a few belligerents are not representative of your side, or that they are represent...

Re: Look at the comments on the Haphead video!

It troubles me the extent to which people like to turn this kind of stuff into such a black and white issue to the point that they try to discredit people who have a history of being pretty fucking credible (i.e. David). I've been fairly sympathetic to gamergate ideas in the sense that there pretty ...

Re: Fan Art

Nice drawing, but you, uh, do know that rabbits do not have bones in their ears, right? Or long tails? :)

Re: Goats!

Goats kick ass.

Especially when wielded by a Dilophosaurus with a purpose.

Re: Female Characters

In regards to the breast issue, I think something important to note about the anthropomorphic animals is that they're, you know, anthropomorphic . Point being that while we put a lot of focus on the animal aspects, they're physically just as human. Putting breasts on an anthropomorphic rabbit is rea...

Re: Rabbit run cycle

I would like to see a return of the four legged run from Lugaru. I have noticed something a little weird about the run. I see what you mean about the stride on the animal side of things. Though on the human side of things, I think what I notice is the position of the spine. The rabbits run with thei...

RE: David's Typing Speed

So I just watched the latest alpha video (a159), and something that really jumped out at me, is that when he was entering text on screen, it was amazingly fast. Was that part sped up in editing to make the video flow better, or does he really type that fast? Because if it was: God. Damn.

Re: Fan Art

I like how you incorporated the hump into the neck. Gives it a unique look. Though not to come off as the foot comment guy, but that part is a little off. I think Camels are still considered ungulates, but their feet are considerably broader less hoof-like than most. Though be warned, if you're goin...

Re: Fan Art

The legs on the rabbit are off, but actually isn't the length that I notice. It's that, well... they've got too many corners. He's got digitrade legs, but plantigrade feet. So two heels. I guess the flip flops wouldn't fit any other way, though. Other than that, I think it turned out pretty good.

Re: Opinion on the dialogue ideas.

I would still prefer some level of verbal dialogue of some sort - the impact of silence doesn't have so much impact if you don't have the talking for it punctuate. I'm sort of torn on the idea of voice acting, though. With how polished Overgrowth is already looking, I don't think they can use the Lu...

Re: Fan Art

Note that there's actually 2 animations done of Watership Down, for those unaware. I think the other one is a short TV series. I haven't seen it, but my understanding is that it isn't nearly as good. So just be aware if you're trying to find it. The movie was a surprisingly good adaptation, all thin...

Re: Suggesions [by Murfle] (AI, Thrown, Animation, Other)

I like the idea of introducing smell as well, it's something I've thought about for awhile now. I think it would be interesting if how the senses work, as far as sight/sound/smell goes, functioned a little different with each race. As mentioned, wolves and dogs would have a superior sense of smell t...

Re: Opinion on the dialogue ideas.

I do agree on the importance of the use of silence. I think it's not used enough in videogames to be honest, both in regards to dialogue and music. There's been a lot of games that have cringe worthy sequences because they try to over-explain with clumsy exposition dumps. Chalk it up to a lot of vid...
