I'm just going to bump this thread instead of starting a new one. Does anyone else think the current running animation looks a little awkward? I think the characters need to take longer strides, and lean forwards more, to give the impression of momentum.. right now I feel like I'm taking little baby...

Lag is simply the result of poor netcode - more often than that, just a shitty clientside connection to the server, regardless of how good the netcode is. Lag is a consequence of online gaming, so there's no reason to get a defeatist attitude about it. It seems like the simplest solution would be to...

Why combat? Why not? Same question. Not having the combat mechanics be a part of the multiplayer seems to me like it would be removing a(n important) feature for no good reason - like you said, Overgrowth isn't just about combat, so there's no need to limit it to just that, but I don't think anybod...

And it is currently only splitscreen, but hopefully they will expand to LAN and even online later. It shouldn't be a 'hopefully' - if Wolfire wants a taste of the success companies like Taleworlds, Tripwire, and Mojang have seen, they need the same things that contributed to the initial popularity ...
