Re: Unofficial Overgrowth a189, weekly build
i'm running linux mint x64 on my overgrowth machine, until the last update i had segfaults during level loading. This time is different: starting it with fullscreen config i end up with a grey screen and a movable mouse, the only way to get out is to kill it via a text console starting it with windo...

Re: Running Receiver under Linux

I don't see any magic in that script, so the solution is just the specific wine version 1.4-rc4-raw3 ?

Hey Aaron, Anton and the other people behind SUMLauncher, Thanks for your continued effort to make the Overgrowth experience as smooth and easy as possible, it is really great what this tool has evolved into! Here is some feedback: Seeing that the Linux version is labeled "Currently in testing&...

Re: fullscreen please help!
Exactly, but if you are not the administrator user, Launching Overgrowth with the SUM Launcher results in the config file of your administrators documents being used by Overgrowth. It's slightly annoying but since i understand the requirement of administrator permissions for the SUM Launcher i don't...

Re: fullscreen please help!
glad to hear it worked! Actually the settings are independent of whether the game is run as administrator or not, the only thing that should be affected are custom maps as they are stored in different locations. Sorry for being ignorant, but are you sure about that? On my windows 7 x64 professional ...

Re: fullscreen please help!
hi ninja! If you are are editing the settings in the config.txt file and nothing changes, the reason is most likely that you are editing the wrong file. The file should be located here: C:/Documents and Settings/YOUR-USERNAME/My Documents/Wolfire/Overgrowth/Data/config.txt One thing to note here is,...

... Those tutorials are already there, but not for OG, because creating a cube for something other than OG and texturing it is the same as creating a rock model and textures for OG. i have to correct you there ;) silverfish made such a tutorial about a year ago: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N2ttX...
Re: Fan Art
i don't like the version with the "look, it's a painting"-filter, but the idea is really cool and well done Mr Otton ! In full screen the quality of the clouds lacks a little but i can imagine it's damn difficult to make a convincing cloud structure of that complexity. What distracts a lit...

Re: Overgrowth Main Theme & metal
Oh, then your browser has quite a weird behaviour, anyway "right-click -> save as" on the gp5 link should do the trick then. If you can read the traditional music notation, then you should be able to grasp guitar tabs within seconds. They are really just coordinates of which string is pres...

Re: Overgrowth Main Theme & metal
Hi Jack, thanks for giving it a whack! I used guitar pro to write the music down, and gpx is the format of the current version 6. Tuxguitar should be able to directly open the gp5 file which is the format of the previous guitar pro version. I do not know how a wall of code would look like in tuxguit...
