Re: [MAP] A City in the desert
Alright folks, I'm just back. Had to wait quite a lot of time, since some parts weren't available and I didn't had the time to rebuild my rig since I catched a cold as well. Karma's a bitch I guess. ;) Now all I need to do is to actually reinstall everything and then I will continue to update my map...

Re: [MAP] A City in the desert
Alright folks,
don't worry about me. I'm facing some hardware-related issues, so it takes a while for me to get things back to work. Will update soon.

Re: [MAP] A City in the desert
Alright, just found time because something I thought I needed to do was already finished. :D I worked a bit more on the temple and the walls surrounding the city. It's somewhat hard to make them all pretty even, but yet that's an issue I can work on later. I wanted to add a small "garden" ...

Re: [MAP] A City in the desert
Allright! Sorry for keeping you guys waiting, but I had lots of stuff to do this week, so I didn't have quite the time to get some work into the map. I just found the time to relax a bit and while I still have other things to do, I provide you with a small update. I've done just small things, added ...

Re: idea to stop OG piracy
I also agree that making a demo of an alpha would not be worth it. That's the basic statement to the demo idea. Of course I agree, a demo version would be a good thing, yet there must be a game first. By now everything's still under progression and therefore there has to be more overall content in ...

Re: [MAP] A City in the desert
Allright, here's another update, version 0.4 to be precise. So what's new? Not much yet, but I made a few things. First of all you may notice new walls, which still need improvements, no doubt on that, but yet they give the city along the roads some kind of system a city usually inherits. Second of ...

Re: [MAP] A City in the desert
Hey there folks! Thanks again for the feedback! :) I worked the thing through, it's not 100% perfect, but I will think of a way to hide small glitches without adding too much. I don't see a reason to add stuff in order to hide something, even though the player will probably never get to that place e...

Re: [MAP] A City in the desert
Thanks for the feedback, guys! Allright, this is a small update for now - I tried to imagine what a temple might look like. Yet it's one hell of a b...rick to place, since all the small blocks just won't be stuck together in a similar way so they don't just get into odd distance. But it's a mere pro...

Re: [MAP] A City in the desert
Alright; I didn't had much of time today, so I couldn't really work on the map at all. For instead, I'll give you the map, by now it's still called "Test_City", but I guess that's okay. ;) There isn't much to discover yet, but you'll figure it out by the screens I've send ya. I will work o...

Re: [MAP] A City in the desert
Allright, a small update for today. I decided to add a few details instead of making the City itself bigger. I started to make a small marketplace and added a few items as well as citizens. Surprisingly the performance-impact isn't that big, so it wasn't any problem to actually add a few more of the...

Re: [MAP] A City in the desert
Hey Last and hey Anton! Thanks for the advice. Worked out good so far. Looks way better, even though I may have to work on the decal. But I'll save it for later. For now it's good to see that the decals won't stick to the items anymore. I just made a small progression. Added a few Houses and buildin...

Re: Unique Weapon Idea and Mechanic
I like the idea. Easy and effective. Maybe there could be two kinds of it? First one: Short, just to immobilize enemies quickly. Second one: Added rope, so the enemy can be dragged around. Would be interesting. Imagine two rooftops, divided by a little gap; Enemy sees the player and wants to run awa...

Re: [MAP] A City in the desert
Hey folks! Thanks for the feedback even though there isn't much stuff yet. I didn't have so much time at the moment, so I couldn't make a big update. For now I've only added a few things and went on to actually getting somewhat of a city first before actually caring about the details. In order to do...
