Casual Animations
I've noticed that quite a few people have been complaining about the jumping and running animations, but I kinda wanted to bring up the walking animations. They look far too stiff and tense, a guard on patrol should have a more casual/relaxed gait. The current walk animations would be well fit to pa...

Re: Female Characters
This probably isn't relevant but I'm gonna say it anyway. If you change your model to the 2nd rabbit guard and press V you'll hear a higher pitched voice than that of Turner or any of the other models currently in the game. Like I said that probably was completely irrelevant but I just thought it wa...

Re: Question About Overgrowth!
The combat is about the same as far as difficulty goes, but it is much easier so learn, looks much better, and a lot more fun.

Re: The jumping
I actually quite like that idea, because in real life it takes a consiterable amount of effort to leap forward from a standing position.Rewjeo wrote:They could make it so that jumping from crouching is a long jump while other jumps depend on your speed going into it.

Re: The jumping
Thanks for the input, but the jumping mechanics seen in the video seem like they would apply to any character regardless of race. The game will feature quite a bit of parkour and free running so it seems important for them to implement proper physics early on so they can have a better feel for how t...

The jumping
Overgrowth will center around the rabbits, it is for this reason that I feel the jumping mechanics should be refined. I found a good video to display this point: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dL5wFJ-d ... re=related

Re: Animal ideas for overgrowth
I like the idea of new animals, but I don't think it would work verry well. For one it's only the mammals that are humanoid so that limits it to just one group to choose from and on top of that they'd have to make unique cultures and fighting styles for each and every new race added. That said I'd l...

Re: Overgrowth Ideas
From what I've heared they are planning to add some new attacks, like a jump spin-kick. I'm not entirely sure about this but I heard it mentioned somewere.

The names.....
I read some stuff about overgrowth http://wiki.wolfire.com/index.php/Races and I found the article on cats and noticed that: 1. One cats name was Wiskerball... 2. Another cat made videos....? 3. A rabbit village called Carrotville. I know that stuff like this is good for a chuckle or two, but is thi...
