I hate to necro a thread, but I'm in a similarly bad ways here. I don't have access to the email used to preorder, as it wasn't mine to begin with and the person who it belonged to is now senile.
Anything I can do? Just gotta re-purchase it?

Re: *What animal will you play as or love to see implemented
I want a flightless bird. An ostrich, or a cassowary. Or one of the giant extinct ones, like a moa or an elephant bird. Or just a giant bird in general, like a Haast's Eagle or fuck it, an Argentavis.
Where's my Argentavis, Wolfire you bastards?!

Re: Messed up knife catching.
So enemies catching knives is OP and the alternative throwing an almost insta-kill attack isn't?

Re: Enemies Should not Roll to Standing stance while falling
No, I think it's not a bad idea. There could be more parameters involved that could decide if an enemy ragdolls/flails when knocked off an edge. For example if its health reaches below a certain point, say 20%, then it wouldn't be at all unreasonable to think that it'd have a bit of a hard time stay...

Re: Eventual Update Questions
Will Overgrowth have motion controls? I can't play a game without wiggling a stick or throwing my body around my room! I'm demanding a refund and boycotting Wolfire if it doesn't get it soon.

Re: Things I want to be implemented.
I've played with TrackIR before and I don't believe It's at all better for gaming than a more traditional input (I think sims do benefit, though). It really doesn't offer much more than what you can already do. I played it with many FPSs and other first person games, and after only half an hour, my ...

Yeah, I agree with Tilas. Rats would be shoddy fighters, not skilled in any particular martial art and sloppy about killing. As though they were inexperienced, or just mental.

Re: Unarmed vs Armed combat?
You know, we could let the combat system get more realistic by having a way to block an attack with a weapon by getting close and grabbing the armed enemy's arm, but if we want to be realistic, then it's worth mentioning that the most realistic thing to do in unarmed vs. armed combat would run the h...

Re: Controls for left-hander
I've always been certain that some things, like video games, weren't affected by handedness. Obviously people are different so some might be really bad with their disfavoured hand, but I've seen plenty of left and right handed people playing this game with no problems. Oh well. Anyway, an easy way t...

Re: Unarmed vs Armed combat?
Yes. I think it would add some gameplay bonuses and realism if whenever you throw an enemy as a counter there's a chance that they drop the weapon. I don't imagine it would be too difficult to implement and I can't think of any better ways. EDIT: Just remembered that most attacks someone will do wit...
