The recent update seemed to fix my performance issues, at least for now.
So it was unoptimized shadows that was making it chug? I've just been calling it black magic.

Re: Press Check
Were looking for a reliable way to check the chamber. Even if done correctly, it still ejects the bullet most of the time.owennerd123 wrote:As stated, if you HOLD T and then HOLD R, the slide will lock back with NO rounds ejected. Then you just press T to release the slide lock.

Re: Spawning Stories
Once, I spawned and almost immediately heard a 'beep' behind me, and was shot. Turns out I was only 4 feet from a turret.

Re: Did... I shoot myself?
You shot yourself. There's been a bit of a Receiver Russian Roulette forum game as a result of this. You can find some of the videos on YouTube. Yeah, but i was shooting straight away from me, not at the ground. This happened to me. I was about 2 feet away from the turret when I shot it, and it bou...

Re: Possible Additions for Next Receiver Build
This has probably been mentioned, but how about single use items like a EMP grenade? Where when thrown, it will disable everything in the "set/chunk/room" it detonated in. You could start out with one, and none could be found. It would be pretty stupid to use it in an area that only has one turret, ...

Re: Possible Additions for Next Receiver Build
I just wonder, how would you disarm a turret with it constantly spinning? I remember this one being brought up. While it's not facing you, run up and pull the wires that are near the center. It's not exactly spinning fast. Or tip it over. Or tape the camera. Or sit on it and spin around. Or pick it...

Re: Is there bullet drop in Receiver?
Yeah, I'm having a hard time telling too. If there is, then it's really small.
Yeah, that's probably it. With it, I've noticed that Drones are way easier to kill now.

Is there bullet drop in Receiver?
I'm having a hard time noticing if there is. Sometimes I can shoot down a drone from quite a distance, without having to aim up. Sometimes I can't hit it at all, despite doing the same thing at roughly the same distance. Though I may be hitting the "invulnerable" parts, it's hard to tell from that f...

Dude, you check this?: viewtopic.php?f=13&t=15610&start=540 Go to David's comment and download the files. I had to go to the humble store. Before, he just edited his original post with the details and link, so I never bothered checking the rest of the comments. Edit: And unless they link the post o...

Re: Receiver opinion
Receiver was made for the 7-day FPS challenge, and I'm assuming it was done for fun. Due to the limited time, there are many bugs, as you've already noticed. Anton(a dev) said they will be doing updates, but their primary focus is Overgrowth. I believe their current goal for the next release is bug ...

Re: Receiver: Wow. I love it!
I think most of the ease of outsmarting turrets is fixed to their predictability. Their modules should take half damage sometimes, causing a camera that may flicker, motors may reverse, etc. This is a great idea. Once you get a firm hold on the controls, the only time a turret is actually dangerous...

Re: SO IS RECIEVER GAME OVER?
All the future development I've discussed with Aubrey and David have related to adding more content, but not new game styles, so I would expect that updates will happen infrequently, with more content. Sweet. I'm okay with focusing development time on Overgrowth. It's just nice to hear that it will...

Re: Receiver: Wow. I love it!
Receiver mechanics in Raccoon City would be incredible. And the drone is the only reason I die. It's practically guaranteed that I'll die if the drone see's me.

Really? Whenever I hold the block key he tenses up for a second. I just assumed it had to be timed right.

Re: What is the gameplay of OG like?
They're going for more realism in OG, so countering/blocking in OG is a bit different than Lugaru. Block is on the right mouse button, so an unarmed attack to your upper body will be blocked if you press it in time(the window of opportunity is pretty large). To counter, you must press the attack but...
