Here is a crude depiction of what the gun might look like untilted.
It's more subtle than the tilt as a visual indication, but still clear enough to tell a difference.
Keep in mind there's a slight animation between the two so you can tell the transition.

Re: (SPOILERS!) For Those Who Have Finished Receiver
Just completed it with the 1911. Again I was swimming in spare bullets, so I guess it was a pretty lucky run finding bullets and tapes at a constant rate. There were plenty of killdrones though, but a stealthy approach finished them off one by one. I've been reading about people complaining over sca...

Re: Possible Additions for Next Receiver Build
When the player is holding a magazine and presses "e" they drop the magazine. I really don't think this is needed, because why would the player want to dispose of the magazine. It's there to create a smooth sequence when reloading. E eject > E drop > 1-0 hold magazine > 1-0 insert > R coc...

Re: 1911 thumb safety - dead giveaway
Sort of borrowing the idea AshEnke just mentioned I came up with another solution. Have the gun shift for a second every time you toggle the safety, then shift back to standard position. Maybe even shift it slightly further than it currently does. This way it doesn't give away the safety check, but ...

Re: 1911 thumb safety - dead giveaway
The gun isn't there to trick you, it's a tool. I agree, the gun is a tool, but my point isn't in trying to outsmart it or the game, but rather to build on your knowledge with the gun. Maybe you think I'm being silly, but when you enter a room or approach an enemy without your gun in firing conditio...

Re: 1911 thumb safety - dead giveaway
Why would you continue to aim your pistol when you've put on the safety? The slight angle makes complete sense to me. Your hand is more relaxed and aiming is not a priority. We can walk around this all day without resolving the argument, none of us are experienced in firearms beyond digital simulat...

Re: (SPOILERS!) For Those Who Have Finished Receiver
I'm sure all guns pack a similar punch.
My record in amount of bullets shot into a single buzzer without taking it down is 10 or 11 - with a revolver.
Meanwhile most of my successful takedowns, as of recently, have been with the Glock.

Re: 1911 thumb safety - dead giveaway
I completely understand that it's there as a visual indication and would otherwise be much harder to spot than the hammer being cocked or not. Like I said, I don't want the safety feature gone, just altered to give it a purpose other than realism. But realistically, you don't subconsciously hold you...

1911 thumb safety - dead giveaway
I don't like how the 1911 slightly shifts with the thumb safety switched on. Every time you spawn and ready your weapon, the only thing I'm never fooled by or forget is the thumb safety. Uncocked hammer? Every once in a while. Empty chamber? On occasions. But never do I mistakenly pull the trigger w...

Re: Press Check
I gotta say, I never accidentally ejected a bullet when checking the chamber, unless I mistakenly press R slightly before T, but never has it happened otherwise.

Re: (SPOILERS!) For Those Who Have Finished Receiver
Having played since mid July I only first completed the game after the new update a couple of days ago. Sure enough it was with the Glock. I was on a streak of one-shotting almost every drone I encountered, leaving me with plenty of bullets after absorbing the last tapes. I hadn't even realized I wa...

Re: Did... I shoot myself?
Funny story, one time my friend was playing while I was watching, he eventually came up to a turret standing at the top of a flight of stairs. He shot at it (any given number of shots) and the last bullet I saw ricocheted straight up, and a second or two later, hit him somewhere on the body causing ...
