Re: A Gunsmith's Analysis (Updated for RC7)

hello there The non cannon weapons issues is due to the fact that many folk play the game not because of it's setting, but because the game sports a far better representation of weapon handling than almost any other game. The storyline behind the game, for many, is largely irrelevant. *This* was one...

Re: More ingenious weapons in Reciver

Hello there

I want a .45 OrLoK implemented.

I wont tell you where the magazine inserts...

Seriously though, I'm not sure chainsaws fit the ethos of the game.

Hello there

Whilst certainly an interesting little side arm, I think Kate's gonna point out several reasons pertaining to its ineffectiveness.

I do like the complex loading mechanism though. The 8 yard effective range I'm not so keen on :)

Hello there

Do the laws not violently differ state to state? This is what I have been led to believe.

Re: A Gunsmith's Critique (Updated for RC7)

Hello there I'm notoriously hard to please :) I think gloriously complex to use weapons, for me, are the way forward, as you'll really have to plan your combat ahead of time, rather than do the Call of Duty Pray and spray playstyle. But I'm a bit of a masochist like that. Really interesting info on ...

Re: Possible Additions for Next Receiver Build

Hello there

The issue is that everyone has their own individual tastes and play styles.

Allowing the player to choose whether he is allowed more health or if he wants a roguelike instakill opens the game to more customers without watering down the core experience.

Re: A Gunsmith's Critique (Updated for RC7)

Hello there I like the sound of the "mares leg" It's different enough from the norm to be interesting. I'll throw another at you, how about the 1950's Witney Wolverine? it's unique looks and again differing handling make it a fave for me (i'm still upset about my beloved mauser. :) ) Rarit...

Re: Receiver performance - what works, what doesn't

Hello there I use my PC for mainly 3D rendering and is usually fairly speedy with many tasks, It's a couple of years old now, but still handles most things ok, Reciever performs *adequately* on it at full settings. CPU: Intel Core i7 @2800 Audio:onboard 7.1 Graphics: Nvidia GTX460 1gb Ram: 12GB OS: ...

Hello there

I've not viewed the vid yet, but how will recompiling the code be any different to wolfire doing it?
I would actually love to know, programming is not my forte :)

I'll test this tomorrow. If this work it's an amazing find. Kudos!

Re: A Gunsmith's Perspective

Hello there Firstly @Kate, thanks for the reminder about the workings of the grip safety, it's been a long long time since I handled my 1911. (decades!) On the whole kate and I are in agreement about most issues/aspects/direction to do with the game but I, personally, still want the below pistol! ht...
