Re: Weapon Additions - Updated Nov. 16th

I actually still haven't gotten the bolt-action rifle, and it's not available on the weapon select menu option. I know that I installed the update after the base files, so it should be in there.

And as we've seen from Surgeon Simulator 2013, that would be the best game ever.

Re: Possible Additions for Next Receiver Build

A double-barrel shotgun like that is really easy to use. Just break open the barrels, optionally remove the spent shells (modern guns often have automatic extractors so they pop out themselves when you break it open), insert two new shells, close the gun, and optionally cock the hammers if it's an o...

Re: Favourite Pistol to spawn with?

I like the revolver, more because of personal bias: I'm a huge fan of .38 revolvers because of their ease of use and the cartridge having such low recoil for its power, so the Model 10 just plain feels good to me. I may also have a Revolver Ocelot-style love of the reloading process....

Re: Simple mod for dual weapons

how would you even manipulate them? if you wanted to do anything other than pull the trigger, you'd need to first holster the other weapon. Considering that Receiver tries to be realistic, that IS one of the main problems with dual-wielding in real life. The most that you can really do with little ...

Re: Possible Additions for Next Receiver Build

Agreed on optimization. I'm playing the Oblivion Lost mod for STALKER: Shadow of Chernobyl and it runs nearly perfectly, but Receiver chugs itself into uselessness on the lowest graphics settings. Which sucks because I'm an avid shooter and huge advocate of realism in games, so Receiver is pretty mu...

Re: mod idea *HARD*

The one thing I'm wary about with applying Receiver to new ideas is that the controls are already very complex. Any game that would be added on top of that would need a minimum of new controls to avoid running out of room on they keyboard. A zombie game is indeed a very good idea, as is any other on...
