Re: Being Neo for dummies
I can certainly never get enough help with avoiding those flying drones. When a turret catches me out, it's normally fluke-based, but when my bullets fail me with drones, they'll practically ALWAYS catch me out unless I have a lot of space to move, or am already hugging a corner. Taking sharp turns ...

Re: What do you fear most in reciever?
After playing a bunch of pacifist runs, I can honestly say that the flying drones are the one to fear. Mistakes with (and especially without) a gun are tremendously more likely to cost you your playthrough. From the pacifist runs, you can quickly get a grasp of the turrets weaknesses besides the obv...

Re: Receiver Stories - share them here
I have no special stories but like many I commonly have "moments". I often try to substitute shooting with stealth. More recently I've even been experimenting with the idea of pacifist runs. I found there's no better way to get your heart racing than this. Sometimes you have no choice to t...

Re: Hand grenades
Could be interesting. Makes me wonder of the ways it's mechanics would translate to a mouse + keyboard. Left MB - Hold a tight grip on the grenade AND control arm swing instead of camera (also drops the grenade on release if the pin is pulled) R - Pull pin. Z - Reinsert pin Push the mouse forward - ...

Re: Weapon requests.
Not sure about the pistol options from the first post. It doesn't sound like they'd add anything to the game, just a model and a different mag size. Even the tactical flashlight attachment seems pointless since there's already no penalty for constantly holding the current flashlight (which I avoid u...

Re: Favourite Pistol to spawn with?
Gotta be the 1911 for me. The Glock capacity feels too generous, I seem to aim better than when I'm holding a glock, you don't need to worry about accidentally firing in fully-automatic and unlike the revolver it doesn't feel as awkward to top-up a single expended round. Plus the revolvers stopping ...

Re: Im getting EXTREMELY POOR frame rates when playing recie
Good thing you provided the community with some information to help narrow down the source of the problem. Besides becoming emotionally unstable, there are other things you might want to try for yourself. You could: -Change the graphics settings. -Run the game as administrator. -Check your drivers a...

Or ARMA II. Preferably the way this game does it.
I feel more immersed when the camera stays upright and you slowly lean out as if you're bending a knee. Rather than bending the torso and leaning the camera angle.
