Re: A Gunsmith's Analysis (Updated for RC7)

Wish I had found this thread before I pointed out my concerns with the 1911 in my thread. You make some interesting points, however I don't really agree with you on adding malfunctioning ammunition into the game. I was raised around firearms and the only dud ammunition I have ever experienced was oc...

Re: Favourite Pistol to spawn with?

Spent cases are very easily distinguishable from live cartridges. There are a number of notable features that would make identification possible by hand alone. Also, if you knew you had live cartridges to remove, you would empty the cylinder into your hand, collect the live cartridges and drop the ...

Re: Favourite Pistol to spawn with?

Well I must point out that your view point is in error. Any cartridge that has not been discharged is easily collected from the ejected brass. It would be rather hard for someone who most likely has had poor weapons training to simply sweep up all of the un-spent bullets on the ground that have bee...

Re: 1911 Mechanical errors

maybe there are errors....but for us mortals who live in crap states where shooting irl requires way too much bs this is still very impressive. I agree it is quite impressive! I really enjoy Receiver for the way it simulates the operation of the 1911. I hope that I can use my personal experience to...

Re: 1911 Mechanical errors

Ejection Port The ejection port should extend to within 6mm(1/4") from the left side of the frame. Magazines Magazines in game appear elongated, with too much room on either side of the cartridge. The cartridge should be pushed up tight against the back wall of the magazine. There is less than...

Re: Weapon spawn rates?

I had a spell where I just couldn't get rid of the Glock. I'll take the revolver over the Glock.

Could we have a check box for 1911 only?

It's been years since I've modeled anything but this game makes me want to make a high poly count model of my Sig 1911.

Re: [IDEA] Realistic Trigger Pull

If anything, the only thing I could see is a slight decrease in accuracy and a tendency for the firearm to pull to the right(or left if you're left handed) when discharging with a double action pull. It is worth pointing out that on firearms that are DAO(Double Action Only) that if you train enough ...

Re: Favourite Pistol to spawn with?

I usually don't do that because I think it's slightly unrealistic, that you can just pick up any useable bullets just as they are ejected. Well I must point out that your view point is in error. Any cartridge that has not been discharged is easily collected from the ejected brass. Is it really that...

1911 Mechanical errors

I did a little bit of reading but have not seen any posts that have covered the errors in the mechanics of the 1911. Over the next couple of days I'll try and document the errors that I find. Thumb Safety: On the 1911, the thumb safety can only be engaged when the slide is all the way forward and th...
