Re: Weapon Additions - Updated Nov. 16th

He's talking about some stuff from earlier in the thread. Josh was messing around with adding mobile gun drones. (Basically flying drones with their tasers replaced with guns.) You can find a couple in the shooting range on the current update, they don't spawn in the actual game though, as they're j...

Re: Weapon Additions - Updated Nov. 16th

I believe he means this: http://www.imfdb.org/images/thumb/b/b1/RS_ThompsonIronsights.jpg/600px-RS_ThompsonIronsights.jpg M1928 Thompson sights with the peephole rear sight flipped down. This screenshot by the way, is from the RO2: Rising Storm. I have exactly zero experience working with models, bu...

Re: Weapon Additions - Updated Nov. 16th

Finally got enough time on my hands today to play a bit of the update. The audio reverb is simply amazing! I don't consider myself an audiophile, in fact, audio is one of my lowest considerations in games, but color me impressed. It really breathes life into the game. I'm not sure how to describe ju...

Re: Weapon Additions - Updated Nov. 16th

It's working as intended. The Thompson fires from an open bolt, which means that in the "ready to fire" position, the bolt is held to the rear. If you take a look at the gif he's posted of the Thompson's operation, you'll notice that when he stops firing, the bolt is held back. This means ...

Re: Weapon Additions - Updated Oct. 21st

-bugs, etc.- Eh, in all honesty, if it ends up being too complicated, it's definitely something that I can live with. I always check my weapon after spawning and make sure everything's in working order, so it doesn't really affect me. I'd rather see you continue working on this great mod rather tha...

Re: Weapon Additions - Updated Oct. 21st

Now that I think about it, sometimes on spawn, the TT will have a round in the chamber (T+R), but it fails to fire. You'll have to charge it an additional time to get it to eject and load a working round into the chamber, however you can still pick up the functioning discarded round. I don't mean t...

Re: Weapon Additions - Updated Oct. 21st

I think it would turn out great using a for loop, I can have a random number generated to break the loop, making it sometimes require more than one single push to get all the rounds inside. Then the bolt toggling function can simply check if there's a clip inserted to prevent it from moving until y...

Re: Weapon Additions - Updated Oct. 21st

I'm glad we all agreed on the push/pull R scheme. Great minds think alike I suppose, heh. I also agree that making necessary to hold R (for at least half a second) is important. Bolts have a certain "weight" to them that isn't negligible enough to simply flip open. As for having a R-only s...

Re: Weapon Additions - Updated Oct. 21st

I've also got the Steam version. I was able to install it on the first try, with no issues at all. I'm running a Windows 7 64 bit machine. The bolt action looks amazing so far! Even despite the less-than-perfect model. An E-R-T control scheme seems a little clunky to me though. The T key is a tad to...

Re: Weapon Additions - Updated Oct. 21st

Hey, great mod. I'm truly enthused to see someone tackle modding for Receiver in such a big way. Thanks for providing this for us. I'd love to see where you take this in the future. I think handling the aforementioned stripper clips would be great and it'd be cool to see an SKS or some such. Somethi...

Wiki- Login Denied

Hey there, Just'd like to start off with some formalities, and introduce myself as a fan of the game. Receiver definitely brings something new to the table and is a very impressive game for having been developed in only a week. I beat the game a couple days ago (despite having owned it since the Ste...
