Re: Overgrowth Linux problems and their solutions/workaround
The only thing plugged into my USB ports at the moment are a mouse and a keyboard, no controller/USB hub/Bluetooth dongle or whatever, behaviour is the same. I also deleted ~/.local/share/Overgrowth before starting it for the first time to get rid of any old settings, I did that again after removing...

Re: Overgrowth Linux problems and their solutions/workaround
Back after a long pause I decided to install b2_build-2883 (on Ubuntu 14.04).
However, when I try any level (campaign or arena so far) the character just constantly runs even when no input is done.
Does someone know how to stop this or which forum post I overlooked?

Re: I know this has been asked before.
No, after the beta testing phase they'll just delete all sources from their hard drives and send you a cheeseburger along with some fries. Add ketchup if you like. Will there ever be a game?

Re: Alpha 206 advance testing
You can already do that now by editing your levels .xml file and putting a
in the text where you want a line break. At least that's what I did.
Code: Select all

Re: Alpha 206 advance testing
When will this come for steam?? :D :D Slowly losing my faith in humanity here. And that's only now? My forehead is kind of flat as a board from head->tableing for at least a year or so. With no signs of improvement in sight I've already ordered a heavy duty kevlar pillow to put in front of me on my...

You don't have to, most antivirus software can be configured to make exceptions.I don't plan on disabling my antivirus though

Re: how to create a video game
Which language to choose largely depends on what you already know, if you're familiar with any of the bigger languages c,c++,c#,java, python then start from there. It also depends on the platform(s) you are targeting, eg if you want to do android apps then java is probably the easiest way to go (thou...

Re: how to create a video game
Not sure if that's what you meant to ask, but here it goes: wolfire didn't use a ready-made game-design-IDE like unity, they coded their very own openGL 3d engine and overgrowth is based on that. So there is no game-dev-editor that was used to produce overgrowth, it's all genuine wolfire code. If yo...

Re: Overgrowth.exe has stopped working!
Without any kind of better error message/trace/information it will be really hard for anyone to guess what's going on. Is it a segmentation fault (memory violation)? Is it the GL_ARB_SAMPLE_SHADING thing? Is it the overgrowth vanilla installation (unmodded) or did you install any mods (which ones), ...

Re: Garry's mod overgrowth
As for the devs permission, I am not the one going to be modelling, as I specified above because I lack the required skills to model The modelling itself is not prohibited (in fact anybody could imitate/recreate any 3d models from any commercial game), setting up a server for publishing is the issue.
