Re: Desperate Gods Mods/Alterations/Suggestions Thread

Let me clarify.. What I meant is if you want to use the tunnel you have to stop at swamp and the tunnel.. Otherwise people can just skip those and go directly into hell.. And forcing people to take this route always wouldn't make any sense whatsoever because that doesn't open up more possibilities,...

Re: [Mod] Full mouse control

Vonkie, thanks for the hard work!

I, for one, am a Tapper. I'm pretty quick with 'R' to view cards and 'E,F' to flip them back over. That's pretty much all I've needed for card manipulation.

By the way, a lot of these questions have been answered HERE.

Re: List of needed rule clarifications.

Swamp: Description: Draw two, pick one. Cannot leave unless you roll doubles OR take one damage. - Is taking one damage a choice? Or do you have to take damage during a fight? On the next turn, do you draw two again? Can you choose to take damage after failing a double roll? If there are no monster...

Re: Desperate Gods Mods/Alterations/Suggestions Thread

Hi Vrav. I'm more of a design guy, although most of my experience has been in UI, so I have a lot of vision for how to open up Desperate Gods for any type of board game experience. I can pick up basic coding and modding if someone points me in the right direction (as an example, I've made some custo...

Re: WHY DESPERATE GODS IS AMAZING.

Wow. This has been me simply trying to download Git and GitHub this morning... http://cdn.memegenerator.net/instances/400x/24188597.jpg I'm on a Mac. I opened the git-1.8.0-intel-universal-snow-leopard.dmg , ran the pkg but I can't seem to find the actual GIT program anywhere. :-/ I was a little mor...

Re: WHY DESPERATE GODS IS AMAZING.

I would be very interested in poking around inside DG and trying to make a simple mod. I simply have no idea where to begin. Do I need to purchase / download any specific Unity editing software? What about Github?

Re: WHY DESPERATE GODS IS AMAZING.

The 'Engine' we refer to is not Unity, but the tabletop. Yeah. I've only dabbled into the teensiest bit of Overgrowth coding. I rarely use the correct terms for these things. I'm sure most of the basic physics are already built into Unity. I'm more excited about the actions David has made for picki...

Re: Desperate Gods

I got a chance to play Desperate Gods a lot tonight. Here is a list of important commands that I have found (or want!!). I hope you find it useful. :? DRAW A CARD This can actually be a little tricky at first, mostly because of the fact that you can accidentally pick up the entire deck: Place the cu...

WHY DESPERATE GODS IS AMAZING.

I think it would fair to say that there are essentially TWO great products bundled into this excellent (free) download. The first part is the actual rule-set for the Board Game Desperate Gods. I would best describe it as a fun little amalgamation of Monopoly and Magic: The Gathering. Players travel ...

Re: Desperate Gods

btw Djemps, I just tested it on both my computers, and I don't get any visual errors on my Mac Pro running 10.6.8 or my Macbook running 10.7.5. Still occasionally happens to me. Mostly when windowed instead of full screened. It can happen at the creation of a new game, or if you have minimized the ...

Re: Desperate Gods

To be painfully specific, the areas where corruption exist are: -The face-up sides of ALL cards. -The information squares on the board where text is written. To eliminate possible confusion, the following related but distinct textures are fine: -The game board itself is fine. -The card-back images ...

Re: Desperate Gods

I'm running the Mac build. Am I the only one who randomly gets garbled graphics on the game board and cards? This usually happens when creating a new game. I exit and start another and the problem is solved. Occasionally it has happened when I minimize my windowed game screen and then come back to g...
