Clans happen on their own in games, we should leave that up to the people who want to form them. Perhaps if they become popular enough, Wolfire could do something about adding some sort of support for it (though I've no idea what), but until then, leave it up to the players to decide. He's on a Mac, and it doesn't sound as though permissions are the problem.
When you open it up in TextEdit, make sure it's in plain text when you save it, Lugaru refuses to recognize rich text files.

Naming NPC's after contributing members of the community is indeed an excellent idea ... but would it conflict with these people when they actually wanted to play?

8 megs of RAM? That sounds a little low for 486 MHz ... my iBook was 366 MHz, came with 64 megs built-in, and was later upgraded to 320 ...
I've no idea what kind of processing power Overgrowth will require, though; perhaps one of the Wolfire team could enlighten us?

I'd try it, but there's no Classic in Leopard, and I'd have to boot into Tiger to try that out; unfortunately, I don't often have reason to go into Tiger ... perhaps I'll try it sometime today though
