Re: Porting Lugaru to XNA
As you said, it's a monumental task. You can't just replace headers or something. I mean, there's C files in there with 10,000 LoC.

Re: Help an old community member out or win a PC
…are you kidding me? That's two sites asking for a spamfest for SEO purposes. No. You probably won't win anyway. Even if you meet the requirements, there's likely more than 20 other dudes that do. Seeing as this isn't a Laplace experiment (they explicitly state they favor specific users!), you ain't...

Re: Ubisoft
I can't help but feel subtlely referenced to and insulted by all of this. I'm still not entirely sure whether or not it was even insulting. If you go through it, I didn't actually mention you by name. I guess the 5,800 posts thing is an indicator of sorts, but YOU GOT NO PROOF SON. Just let it go, ...

Re: Anyone for Jam?
I just saw that Zynga is peripherally associated with this jam. I don't really want to be mentioned on the same page with that company though. So it's really out of the question, sorry.

Re: Anyone for Jam?
I'd really only be up for a jam in Hamburg, but there doesn't seem to be one.
Well, maybe I'd travel to Bremen or Berlin, Munich is pretty freakin' far though..

Re: Ubisoft
There's the sideline trolls, the guys that throw something in every half year or so to enrage the discussion. And there's resident trolls, they're the guys that troll relentlessly so that they eventually reach about 5,800 posts of trollage. At some point, you learn to live with the resident trolls; ...

Re: Zeitgeist Movies
Exactly, that's part of my reason for being ragingly skeptical. It's a human reaction. Basically they'd have to force people to comply, and that would be averse to what they're trying to achieve. I respect the sentiment, but a few hearts being in the right place won't "save the world". Ye...

Re: Zeitgeist Movies
What they do is provide this "solution" but no way to achieve that solution. That's not entirely accurate. They have numerous proposals that are sound in theory. Particularly resource distribution is a valid approach to world hunger, there's no doubt about it. And a basic upgrade to our i...

Re: Zeitgeist Movies
You're welcome. Don't just accept this as "gospel", though. Keep your thinking critical. A lot of it is conjecture and goes into conspiracy theory territory.
Still, very interesting stuff indeed.

Re: buying lugaru
Should be that when you buy the game, you also disclose some e-mail address. Then Wolfire automagically sends the link to your copy to that e-mail. You then have your personal link to download your Lugaru copy whenever you wish; you can find it in your e-mail inbox after you bought the game.
