Re: Fan Art

I finally finished my fan art drawing! Click it for full size (1680 x 1050) turner_arena.png EDIT: Updated with color corrected image. Also, might add that it took 20-24 hours to create this image. Very nicely done. The lighting is rather well-executed. Speaking of lighting, I was painting up anoth...

Re: Story Wise

Lugaru's story was very grim, and i expect Overgrowth's story to be equally or even more so. It's a dog eat dog world out there, and this game will be a prime example.... i think. There's no doubt about that. I am too, however, hoping for a deeper story that is emotionally investing and possibly ev...

Re: Fan Art

Yeah. What's really important in making your painting and its subjects stand out is by proper understanding of lighting and shadowing placements. Even in an awesome looking painting like that if I look closely I can see very simple strokes done on various parts of the clothing that properly give it ...

Re: Fan Art

Sorry if it creeps you out. The human-like look is basically just my style. :P But I agree that the facial structure needs work.

Re: Overgrowth - Random Idea Dumping Thread

What I'd love to see is when you punch or kick somebody in the face, you can see spittle particles spray. I think that would make the punches/kicks appear a lot more powerful.

Re: Animal ideas for overgrowth

Making the 2D shapes so that there's no wasted space when they're put into a square image is also an art, at least when Aubrey does it. Open up the combined glaive/spear texture under /Data/Textures/Dog Weapons to see what I mean, I learned a lot just by looking at how he did it. I'm sorry but I ca...

Re: Animal ideas for overgrowth

By unwrapping do you mean making seams to separate almost every identifiable shape present on the model (such as the main torso, the arms, the fingers, etc.) in Blender?

Re: Animal ideas for overgrowth

At the moment I'm actually at a very beginner stage in Blender. I've been looking up a ton of tutorials and man there is just so much to fit into my head. I just need to practice I guess. This has nothing to really do with OG, but this is pretty much my first dumb model of a wolf OC of mine. You kno...

Re: Animal ideas for overgrowth

http://forums.wolfire.com/viewtopic.php?f=13&t=12101 Here you go fidchell, right there on the first post. Just drag the Data folder your OG install and merge it with the existing Data folder. The fox will be in you characters tab in the editor. He has no fist morphs yet, but he should work fine. Th...
