Re: Unusual things to do
I'm just saying that when I've used the spinecrusher on the Alpha Wolf, it's always killed him. Usually I've only tapped him a couple of times before doing that, too, so he's at nearly full health. And yes, this was on Insane, that wonderful difficulty where wolves survive two leg cannons to the fac...

Re: A New Campaign!
Man, how in blazes do you do Canyon on Insane? The first four rabbits are trivial, but I haven't found a way to pull enemies away from the second group, so I always end up fighting them all together, and trying to fight a wolf when anything else is going on at all is suicidal. I got through by using...

Re: Unusual things to do
Rather more recently I hit a rabbit out of the air with the knife and he flew right into the camera, chest-first. Got a nice view of the knife stuck into him as he went by. By the way, the spinecrusher (unarmed stealth attack) is a guaranteed KO no matter how much health the opponent has. Or at leas...

Re: Ask the Overgrowth team your questions on Overgrowth
I asked about that in the IRC channel, and it was either Jeff or Ninjas who told me that I'd be able to use models exported from Blender directly in the game.

Re: What features do you want to see?
More complex weapon fighting (knife-fighting is pretty complex in Lugaru, but staff and sword are both very straightforward and limited). A "clean", modular implementation that allows just about anything in-game to be changed or added to. Triggers that change the level layout (e.g. closing...

Re: WHAT RACE DO U WANT TO BE? or c be implemented into the game
William, I mean no offense, but please use proper grammar. Many people in the world equate bad grammar with low intelligence, and thus refuse to read text that isn't written well, assuming that the person who made that text cannot possibly have anything interesting to say. Regardless of whether or n...

Re: Unusual things to do
Interesting. I jumped off, then air-controlled back to the wall and did a walljump.

I figured this could be fun. Feel free to add your own.
Have you ever...
* Killed the Alpha Wolf with stealth?
* Reversed an enemy through a wall? (Temple/Empire campaigns)
* Survived a fall off of the "floating island" challenge levels?

Re: OG on consoles?
The problem with going full-blown game is that you have to deal with the physical media -- getting discs pressed, packaging made, convincing stores to put the game (created by a no-name indie gaming company, a complete unknown) on their shelves...it's hard and a big risk. It is of course doable -- A...

Re: OG on consoles?
350MB is pretty dang sizable. The big thing that kills 3D games, size-wise, is textures, and this team's really not big enough to generate 300+MB of textures in the timeframe they're operating on. Unless, you know, they're totally gratuitous with their texture resolutions. Which I doubt they are. Th...

Re: OG weapons
It's not terribly unbelievable -- halberds are very situational weapons. You get fantastic range, but they're not very maneuverable, and if someone gets inside your reach, you'd better hope you have a backup weapon. If you have to go up against a polearm, there's worse things to have than a light, qu...

Re: Water In Lugaru 2
Remember that the Wolfire team only has so much time to get the game made -- they need to get it published so they can start getting the income from people buying the game. If this were just a hobby for them, then sure, they could publish whenever they wanted to. But it's not.
