It would be helpful to hear more details about the performance if you are still having problems -- e.g. what levels, what hardware/os, and so on. Maybe try deleting all characters from a level or all objects to see what is correlated with low framerate.

For now you can place patrol points using the spawner, in the "Utility" tab.

The "Save Dialogue" button is not really critical since the dialogue should also save as part of the level itself. If you save the level it should add the dialogue text to the "script params" of the dialogue object.

1. How do you make a character look at the eye, head and chest boxes? I have them moved on the different lines of dialouge but I don't know how to make the character look at them. If you set "gpu_skinning" to "false" in the config, that may help.

You could try turning off blood dripping to see if that helps. You can do that by setting blood to 0 or 1 in the config file.

It's possible that the alpha does not include cache files for the cat model, so it has to do a bit of preprocessing to make it work the first time.

If you are on Mac, please double-check that GPU skinning is disabled in the config.

SDL2 might handle controllers differently than SDL1 did, which could affect the axis and button bindings -- it might be safest to redownload A199 for now if you need it to work again immediately.
