1 vs. 1 is a priority for me. It's incredibly difficult to fight 1 vs. 2, because as your throwing one opponent, the other one roundhouse kicks you in the face. So, I try to thin them out (corridors, run away a bit) or just attract one at a time.
And if I can help it, choke 'em out.

Re: I can play as a cat!
Yeah I don't think they ever said in an update, "Press 7 to play as our prototype cat!" but it was later confirmed.

Re: Overcrash...
Did you download the complete new Alpha a156 install? Or did you just get the "changes for a156?" Because if you just got the changes, then OG may not work without the previous changes for the alphas you missed.

I'm using Aaron's auto mod downloader/installer, and I'm a bit confused. It's stopped at 111 files added, 0 replaced/updated and downloaded 181.70 MB. How can I tell when it's finished? It's just sort of sitting there. It's not frozen, I can move the scroll bars and everything. But nothing will cha...

Re: wolfs!
Actually, you can survive a sweep kick from a wolf. Most of the time that kills you, but I've recovered from one more than once.
Essentially the only way to fight a wolf is to be extremely aggressive. Seeing as you can't block or judo throw them, your only option in fighting them is to go full force.

Re: How has knowledge been synthesized to create Overgrowth?
Make sure you check out that video posted a little while back about the creation of sounds like Endoperez mentioned. Indeed it involved pineapples. Here it is! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MTfGO4tWYS4&feature=channel_video_title Take special note of the little videos showing where the sound co...

Re: Running Animation
It's planned. Most of the character movement/fighting mechanics from Lugaru (as well as a few more) will be added to/are already in the game. At the moment, if Turner runs super fast down a hill, his legs move at about 200 mph, which just looks silly.

AWW Silverfish!
I was just two posts above your posting of the first Challenge remake from Lugaru when I thought to myself, "Hey! My next project should be to recreate all the levels from Lugaru and put them into a huge pack!"

Re: Emerald Treetops! -Map
Are those big blue rocks supposed to be part of the name inspiration for the map? Because emeralds are green; those look more like giant sapphires.
Btw, map looks really cool. I love the idea of tree villages.

What! Stealth attacks, body dragging AND an early release? This could only get better with cake and the whole game!

Re: How can we tell what Alpha version we're currently runni
The current alpha is always in the title of one of the stickied threads here on the SPF. It's currently alpha 151 . No, no. I mean how can I tell what alpha version I currently have? I know the current alpha is 151, but what if I was still on a149 and missed a few updates? How could I tell what alp...

How can we tell what Alpha version we're currently running?
I only ask because I missed a few updates here and there and I don't want to download and install the whole new game with every update, I prefer just the changes.

Re: We need subforums!
I agree. A couple subforums would benefit us. Maybe even one for all the tutorials/how-to's/support topics that are taking up the first 10 thread-slots of the page.

Love the idea ariehl. I'll try to see if there's some kind of fix for my Balance map because, frankly, I like that one the most
