Re: RE: David's Typing Speed

I read extremely fast, though I don't type very fast at all. I can agree with above post that the trick is to not think the sounds of the words, which will slow you down to a spoken pace. I also have a special talent for remembering text, which is great when studying, I can usually just read through...

Re: Multiplayer. My personal plea to wolfire.

Prolonging the fights is simply a matter of adjusting damage, speeds and other parameters. There is no reason to assume these parameters to be fixed, let the players find the best balance and set a good standard themselves. The fighting system isn't done yet either, we don't know how long the averag...

Re: Multiplayer. My personal plea to wolfire.

I play M&B multiplayer so let me state a few things. Competitive dueling on fully manual settings in M&B is very fast paced, clearly comparable with OG. The system is a bit different, none the less it proves that you can have a very fast paced and complex melee fighting system working online...

Re: The "Bear Clan" character returns!

Beautiful! A bear! Whoohoo!

One little nitpick. The arms look a bit oversized, like a gorilla almost. Scale them down a fraction is my advice. Also for easier syncing with the fighting system.

Re: Multiplayer. My personal plea to wolfire.

Not only do I want pvp multiplayer features, I'm convinced there will be. And it will make all the difference in the world both in terms of persistence and profit. The same difference it makes for mount and blade etc. The technical difficulties are blown out of proportion I think, the wheel is alrea...

Re: Suggestion: visiting your house?

I´m pretty much against this idea of inventories and load out system. IMO you shouldn't be able to bring weapons between levels at all, you should have to make do with salvaged weapons picked up during playing the level. Or in some cases a specified starting weapon.

Re: Fan Art

I believe caves should be doable by just creating a set of cave assets, just like you do with the buildings. Make a "cave" floor, walls, roof etc. It should even be doable now by careful placing of rocks, except that would be heavy on the CPU.

Re: System requirements for Overgrowth?

I have a macbook pro. 2.53 Ghz dual core. 4 Gb ram. integrated Geforce 9400m 256mb. The alpha runs very well with those specs. Which probably means that after all optimization is done you'll probably get away with considerably less. I think a reasonable estimate is it will run, with minimum graphics...

Re: Fan Art

The idea of frogs is just awesome!

What makes the frog model look a bit weird is primarily the legs, frogs have much longer and thinner legs in relation to the body. The head, and the 2d images, looks great though.

Re: Unique ablilities:

Dogs: I think they should fight european style with the weapons, and something with military traditions for unarmed. Like Krav Maga( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xhKjpdWyYMc ) or Systema. They should have some unique ways of cooperating in formations and using advanced tactics. Doesn't get scared ...

That's cool, my itty bitty mod got included in CBM! 8) You made Mark of the champion? I didn't realize. Well, thanks for that! It turned my Prophet into a real SC, 177 ichtycentaurs and myrmidons killed and counting. He's practically beaten MA Oceania single handed by teleporting on top of ev...

Haha, that's fantastic! Are any of the items he's wearing references to his actual equipment? I don't think so, since the book is out of place... unless it's a really unique Manual of Water Breathing! It is actually. :D Not the book (which is just underlining his heroic trait), but the helmet is th...
