And then it would tear itself down again.
It's easier to destroy things than to create them.

Re: Take a look back...
I'm 17, and I'm at the "everything's exciting!" stage. Is this bad?

Take a look back...
The internet has put me in quite an interesting position. It creates archives of my knowledge and personality over time (on the many forums I frequent/used to frequent). Looking back at all of my posts I realize just how far I've come. These days I'm spouting posts I would have just blinked at a yea...

Re: Raspberry Pi Discussion
To my knowledge (unless I misunderstand you) it's already done, though it uses java. (JVM makes it possible)
Unless you mean compatible with hardware. In that case it would be virtually impossible.

Re: Raspberry Pi Discussion
Probably not, as it's using an ARM processor. Think of it as a phone processor, as that's what most ARM processors are used for. And it doesn't even have a dedicated graphics card (understandably) so I very much doubt it could render anything near Overgrowth.

Re: Raspberry Pi Discussion
They were really meant for giving schools a cheap computer to use for programming classes.
I want one though, it seems like a perfect way to learn about kernels. I'll be building an OS with a group of friends from the ground up on one of them. Once they start selling more that is.

Re: Metal Heads
Time for resurrection. http://puu.sh/pkpc I've actually come to listen to a lot of the bands listed here on my own. I was in to Dance Gavin Dance for a spell, but the vocals got really annoying. Like, the screaming was great (Jon Mass I believe?), but when it comes to actual singing, Jonny Craig has...

Re: ÐÆЋ
I would advise against getting a raspberry pi for a main computer. Yes, they can do 1080p video, but that's about it. There haven't really been any good distros written for them yet.

@Glabbit there's nothing to it if you're using RIP.

Re: building a computer
Quick question, I know next to nothing about computers and how to build them but I was thinking about learning at some point soon and building myself a decent PC. What does the motherboard actually affect when building a PC? And what would class a motherboard as "good"? I was always under...

Re: building a computer
The extra four gigs won't really matter that much. I have 8GB of ram and have never used more than 3.5 (yes I'm running a 64 bit OS).

Re: building a computer
Yay for random opinions! Though I currently have a 460 myself, and though it's definitely a good card, I wouldn't suggest it. You can get a much more powerful card for less if you buy a radeon. I can barely max out skyrim with a 460, and for the same price I could get a mid range radeon card that wo...
