The Lava Arena's lighting seems to have gotten very dark. Was this intentional?

I've noticed that the Blood No longer shines or has Congealing properties. Will this be reimplemented when the game is more optimized?

Will the Blood Decals ever be optimized enough to allow unlimited/near-unlimited amounts again?
