I think there could be 360º targeting (or at least 180º). Side kicks and back kicks can be very cool and useful. Punches to the head (not just the gut) should also be possible. Yes, it may come in handy sometimes, assuming that the buildings are all poorly made or easily broken... which I could understand if, for instance, you kicked someone into a fruit stand (it's not a building but shut up) and it broke and a splinter impaled them... Overgrowth needs fruit stands. But ...
