Part of the idea was that maybe eventually you could gain followers that worshiped you. Humans would be one of the races that could be your subjects, enemies, or just food.

These are the only two concepts I have done for the dragon game, although I have more concepts to come.

One of the reasons the BS2 bottom concept is so extreme is that I was feeling a bit restricted by the design and was having a hard time seeing how to take it forward so I tried something completely different. There are some things I like about it that I think could work well with a more conservative...

hehe, I have some of those in the queue too :)

One of the cool things about the style of the bottom image is that it would open up some interesting technical possibilities, like having a very well defined silhouette.

I have been getting a few weird problems lately also-- One thing that seems to fix some of them is force updating the ODE ("0"(zero) on the keyboard)

It is cool to see people putting their custom models in the engine. We tried to make it as simple as possible-- we may add a gui later for building xml object directly in the engine

I think probably you will not be able to enter the buildings, and no, I don't think they will just be big props. One of our core design principles is that the things in the game should have some kind of gameplay function.

Question: Do you create your all of your textures from scratch or do you find them somewhere? I use stuff from CGtextures.com as a base. If you have a sharp eye, you can see textures from that site in a lot of games. I am going to buy a decent camera soon so I can take more of my own photo reference.
