I would say that the description for the animation is a bit incorrect. Neither of those pilots would be trying to kill each other if their governments hadn't commanded them to. You neglect facts here. 1: They clearly didn't, both of them were running low on fuel and ammo and by the end of the fight...

So it's an animation about air dogfights. Why do you think it's good and we should check it out? There's a lot of little symbolism hidden here and there, it goes a bit beyond the basic WW2 Dogfight you'd expect.
