I love the MGS series, but yeah... the story is pretty convoluted. There are definitively some good moments in there though. I do like the somewhat self-contained story of Big Boss' struggle in MGS3. It'll probably be like in Lugaru; it'll vary. You can kill enemies quickly and brutally, but sometimes fights last longer.
