There is no way of changing that to be dumber, it's too damn smart. Also, I did get slightly confused when I came back here and you had merged the topics, thought I may have had an incredibly stupid moment and linked someone to "Randomness" within the very same thread. I'm glad you mentio...

Re: Voice acting needs voice actors. Who's down?
wow, that is a fancy piece of gear.
yeah, might be best to have some actual voice acting pros (or students) do it all in a day or two at a real studio.
Later anyone who wants to add to it could do so as a modder.

Re: Dren from Splice
That movie set the bar very high for awesomely retarded action/sci film dialogue. And since we're collecting such lines around our house, we were muchly entertained. "I DON'T EVEN KNOW WHO YOU ARE ANYMORE!" *sob* << is great to wail to your cat when he's clawing up the couch for the 500th ...

Re: Few highlights of my 1st day in Overgrowth
there is something odd about their animations... really stiff at the shoulders when they run... and I saw something about how David was working on fur that looked soft, but I don't remember if he was finished with it. Work in progress, to be sure.Psycho Society wrote:Cats are weird. Good video though.

Re: Voice acting needs voice actors. Who's down?
Yeah, what's up with that, anyway? Seems like a goofy way to save on expenses: huge dev projects put millions into making the visuals, animations, gameplay and sound design seem as realistic as they can get them, then blow the effect by hiring one guy to do 30 characters instead of hiring 6 or 7 dif...

Might as well post some Reggie Watts... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=es3H0_IMLvo Helps that he's just an awesome singer/vocalist, I suppose. Plus the sweater. Here's a fun video he made, making fun of videos in general. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CJQU22Ttpwc http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OD1w...

Re: Unique Weapon Idea and Mechanic
It seems like you'd just want set animations for a few different strikes or grapples or ranged throws, like you have for any other weapon or limb. Having it set up to rely on in game physics for strikes probably would result in a lot of hitting yourself, just like in real life. Where the ragdo...

Re: Female Characters
That's it in the original campaign. You always play as Turner, and the women are only victims that motivate him to fight. I think Ancestral Tales is the only one with playable female characters: Rose, Turner's niece, and Claire, a fox and granddaughter of a retired female fighting master from Turner...

humph.
just because I'm sitting at my PC with my rifle and my face wrapped in a urine soaked towel does not mean I play too much games.
it doesn't.
it's for when the gas grenade comes through the window. so there.

Re: Unique Weapon Idea and Mechanic
Fun idea! I love the non-lethal end of it for story telling, that it's a ranged weapon, but only for as far as you can throw it... Plus you could use it to bring down fleeing enemies, like it's used to hunt in real life. I guess-- with a lot of work of course-- you might also implement it in game as...
