Re: Lore, Myths and Backgrounds.
The word overgrowth refers to the "overgrowing" of vegetation and or certain mutations that involve the overgrowth of an appendage or internal organ. Of course it could be viewed in a more abstract sense, in which case the theory of it refering to overpopulation becomes more plausible. How...

Re: Lore, Myths and Backgrounds.
I too am very interested in the lore of the Overgrowth universe, I have got a bit of info but it's probably all stuff you've seen before. 1.Rats that abide in the desert live in large nest-like structures that usually only hold 5 or so rats, due to their being a people that enjoys hoarding junk. Mos...

Re: Possible Additions for Next Receiver Build
I always thought it would be cool if you could find a screwdriver then unscrew a live turret from it's base(from behind of course, holding it's gun to keep it from turning) then fire it by putting your finger in front of the camera. It would also work as a light because of those blue LEDs on the gun...

As others have said the community is absolutly despicable. But the game, being in beta, shows a lot of promise.

Ear Dismemberment
I thought of an idea while watching one of the old art asset overviews, ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XGj1ivH33Ak ) It would be intereresting to be able to cut the ears off of enemy rabbits, it could be a sort of humiliation tactic. It could be like the medium between killing them and knocking th...

Re: Overgrowth Multiplayer discussion
Though some online modes would be nice, I would be fine with just LAN and some local multiplayer.

Re: Suggestion: Film Editing Tools
I think a film feature will be added later in development after they get the core gameplay and UI done. But that's just logical speculation, I don't know for sure.

Re: Overgrowth Multiplayer discussion
Tutorials are pretty easy to implement, you could go the old fassion way and just throw a wall of text at the player or you could have a Lugaru style training room. But for online game modes you don't really need a tutorial, just a discription of the rules and goals.

Wait, tigers? You sure? All I've seen so far is rabbits, wolves, dogs, rats, and cats.

Re: Overgrowth Multiplayer discussion
If the location of the encampment has such a big effect, how would you make the game so that new players won't choose bad locations? Suggested sites would tell the enemies where to look. The teams would probably end up going to one of the few "optimal" places. New players making mistakes ...

Re: Overgrowth Multiplayer discussion
I thought of an interesting concept for a slow-burning game mode a few days back, I didn't really think much of it till I mocked up a rough concept in the games editor and saw that it had quite a bit of potential: Each team would have a mobile camp site that one of the players could set up anywhere ...
