Re: randomness

Oh, that's a continuous cycle. Notice my 'first joined' date? I've seen quite a many lulls in activity around here. But the forums always spring back to life again at some point or another. Usually just after an update or popular mod is released. O'course not everyone who vanishes comes back... *for...

Re: randomness

Re: Glabbit's "winning the argument" There are other possibilities too, like you both being wrong and realizing it, I strongly disagree. I find this example falls under category two: Being wrong and learning from it. Note that this category does not say anything about the other party. Thu...

Re: randomness

You gave these three (four?) opinions on one point of mine. I have no idea how to answer them, or which ones I should answer. :? I don't know if this clarifies things at all... Am I winning an argument? Did the universe break down? Only if you count being completely incomprehensible as a victory, i...

Re: randomness

I've seen it argued that the steam refunds might be good for the indie scene since it'll "only" (mainly?) negatively affect those indie devs that don't provide adequate support and/or are assholes, which does sound like a good thing since that'll leave more space for the more dedicated sma...

Re: randomness

A gentleman would have a top hat and moustache. I object to your restrictive classification! (Stereotipalisation! Stereotypation? Stereotyping. That sounds way less fun.) Why would a 'gentleman' be a gentleman for his use of typical appearance tropes? What makes his ability to don a top hat an indi...

Re: randomness

The gentleman dressed up as a Victorian gentleman worked fine in that context, but the animal-people waiting for the bus? It got pretty weird for something a kid would be familiar with. A kangaroo, a bird and a tiger waiting in line for a bus? Yeah, I can see how that could have been too over-the-t...
