The "OMFGHOWDOIBEATHIM?!" kind of villain? That fits the purpose perfectly.

Sephiroth? Don't make me laugh. He was a whiny emo mama's boy with an Oedipus complex who got beat by his own clone.

Think about that. His own clone.

SEPHIROTH IS LITERALLY WEAKER THAN HIMSELF.

EPIC FAIL.

Now KEFKA was badass. Sure, he looked like a clown, but the man was hatred incarnate. He hated everything, he wanted everything dead. The man slew over 20 Espers (probably waaaay more) like they were nothing, he slew the hell out of Leo.

AND.

To DATE.

KEFKA is the ONLY Final Fantasy villain to have SUCCEEDED in destroying the world.

Sure, he got beat afterwards, but still.

PLUS, Kefka had SIX wings.

Pussy little Sephiroth couldn't even handle two.

Pussy.

Sepherioth could have kicked clouds ass without looking, but he got cocky, and reminded Cloud why he was fighting.

You have a point there, even big winged clowns can be badass. [/sarcasm].

Actually, the title "one winged angel" is false. He only had wings in one of his forms, and then he had 5. Plus the song http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0sUfx_v0ttg and Sephiroth is the best.

Oh, and Sephiroth is V-nix's inspiration, so he may kill you in your sleep.

Pussy.

5: Black Mage
Oh, c'mon. He deserves it.

4: Revan
You can play as him in Knights of the Old Republic, and since I choose the actions I would choose were I really there, I of course end up following the so-called "evil" path. That would make him the coolest villain ever except for the problem that, long before I start playing him, he's already been brainwashed to work for the Jedi for a really long time, so he's demoted to slot 4. Oh, and in KotOR 2 (which I haven't played), I hear the canonical choice is the path of the Light Side. Even more lame. Makes me tempted to switch him with BM...

3: Gouki
I don't consider him a villain, but since most of the (admittedly not very bright) Street Fighter protagonists and even most of the (see previous parenthetical comment) players would see him as such, I s'pose he can be counted as one. Which is good, cuz then he gets to join this list.

2: Durandal
He's not really your enemy for most of the Marathon series, but since he is in part of Marathon I, he's a valid choice for this list. And since he's just so fricking cool, he comes in second.

And...
1: Magus

Well, duh.

Miyamoto has a point, Sephiroth is a pussy and KEFKA is better.

I mean, I don't even know who KEFKA is and I know this.

Aren't they both from Final Fantasy? Why are they even on the list, then?

I second Sylar and Durandal.

Also, in no particular order:

LeChuck
It is hard to beat a burning zombie ghost pirate.

Darth Vader
It is even harder to beat a giant cyborg black knight who wields a lightsaber, crushes tracheas with his mind, and speaks with the voice of James Earl Jones.

Sauron
He is so evil he doesn't even have to do anything.

Agent Smith
Nobody else can pack so much hatred into such deadpan delivery.

Hannibal Lecter
He escapes from prison by ripping off a guard's face and wearing it... what else is there to say?

Sauron obviously isn't as cool as Melkor, and since few people would know who that was, I didn't put him on the list. Besides, Melkor would only be slot 6.

Agent Smith's cool, yes. Dunno if he's top 5, though, simply due to Matrix Revolutions. He gets pwnt there. If just for Reloaded, he'd be top 5. (He's the _only_ good part of Reloaded, though.)

Vader's not bad, but I didn't want two Star Wars characters in the top 5. I'm still going with Revan -- as he should have been, not how he turned out.

No comments on LeeChuck and Hannibal.

I like to pretend that there were no Matrix sequels or Star Wars prequels.

ok, lot to say here...

1) Just because you Believe/Pretend that something dose not exists makes it so David?

2) Hannibal Lecter FTW!

3) the SkyNET Program, Has everyone forgotten about the Terminator?

4) Cyber Hittler 2000! Hittler Rebuilt to take over the world in the 22nd century. and I just realize I gave up the Identity of one of the Villains in a Movie I was righting.

Yes, it does. It's David.
Colicedus wrote:3) the SkyNET Program, Has everyone forgotten about the Terminator?
Sadly, we remember him all too well.

I don't think it's possible to right a movie involving "Cyber Hitler 2000". You can't fit more wrongness into that.

I also don't think it's possible to write a movie, even if that's what you meant. Maybe a movie _script_...

That was what I was Referring to, or should I say the plot ATM.
and The Wrongness is what Draws people in to see the movie.
