Don't even try to confuse me with oldschool ST and / or Amiga games, I know 'em all. Same with Megadrive stuff, or PS1, or every else platform that was big between 85 and 95. Exception: Oldschool Mac games - my weakness. But David has that part covered, I guess..

Oh, and NES stuff - I know roughly 20% of the classic games, probably not enough to guess titles on that platform.
Really! Geeze, RESPECT!
I use to play Amega games allot when I was younger.
It was that Amega 2000 that was the first computer I ever restored.
I then gained a fascination from then on about the construction of computers.

And in the third one, that man is rather dangerously close to landing on the horse. But I don't know the speed of "Walk" so I can't really talk. (No pun intended)

The robot in the second one kinda looks like the robot in the movie "Short Circuit" (1986).

Shooting games with pre-captured video were kind of entertaining.

Ack! Was that first game a game that also came out on Sega Mega-Drive that came with a blue gun to shoot at the screen or something? And like one of the first levels was these guys driving along in a van and you had to shoot out the tyres? If so, that game was pretty fun, but I don't know what It was called.

Rebel Assault II probably. It's not a game, it's a ride!

Has anyone else been trying:

I think it contains some of his best ideas.

Is that Nethergate, or Nethergate resurrection? I recognize the Avernum engine, but not the specific game (they all look more or less the same, honestly).

Speaking of fantasy RPG games:

It's Nethergate resurrection. I missed the original.

I like how the whole world is accessible from the start, you are handed a crude map of it, and, right from the beginning, each story mission requires you to go to a different corner of it. So you know what direction to go, but at the same time you explore the lands in-between and travel however you like. I thought that was a clever take on the linearity/non-linearity thing. It's also devoid of repetitive content. I'm pretty sure the author (Jeff Vogel) was very much into what he was doing when he created that.

That game is actually still active. The most elaborate scenarios are just a few years old, and sequels are in the works (!).

EDIT: (the other game is Odyssey.)

I wanted to create an RPG, and instead of the hitpoint system, I would use cover and Shock points.
How ever, I always Loved Avernum when I first played it!

With my system and a few aspects from the Avernum engine, I would create the ULTIMATE GAME!

too bad i cant Program

Realmz is fun. You beat me to both of those games. You will die now. Escort Silb to his solitary death cell with walls made entirely out of pie.

Never even heard of that. That looked exactly like Blades of Avernum. I see David's point about the Avernum games looking alike...
