What's your point? Me and Freshbite were both assertive of the need for plenty of biscuit base. Your words upset and confuse me.Endoperez wrote:It's cheeseCAKE. As in most cakes, the emphasis is on the sugary sweetness and tastes-so-good-iness. Unfortunately, that sugary sweetness is sticky and doesn't stay together. It's thicker than, say, whipped cream, but you still need something to keep it together. Ergo, someone decided to put the stuff on a biscuit.
Also, it's gooood.
Now I want to bake something.

There are salts in many things. Not necessarily the table-salt variety, but salt nonetheless.zoidberg rules wrote:Wait, pancakes are made with salt?!

Actually, Freshbite said "Less [biscuit base]? Oh dear. Might aswell just serve plain cheese." Accompanied by a picture of a kind of a cheese that could be served on its own, but wouldn't be used for a cheesecake. My point was that cheesecake sans base couldn't be served on its own.Renegade_Turner wrote:What's your point? Me and Freshbite were both assertive of the need for plenty of biscuit base. Re: Cheesecake
I made a cheescake once, and it was yum.
Re: Cheesecake
What I brought up was that I thought that there were too much cheesecake base on too little biscuit mass, stating that with that kind of cheesecake/biscuit ratio, you might aswell you eat plain cheese, and poor a little sugar on for that "sugary sweetness".Endoperez wrote:My point was that cheesecake sans base couldn't be served on its own.

Re: Cheesecake
Yeah, as in he was saying that if you didn't have enough biscuit base you might as well be eating cheese. As a tongue-in-cheek comment, nonetheless. Ergo, he was saying that cheesecakes should have plenty of biscuit base. He wasn't implying that without the base it would still be cheesecake, and he wasn't seriously considering the use of actual plain cheese as a substitute. How is this difficult?Endoperez wrote:Actually, Freshbite said "Less [biscuit base]? Oh dear. Might aswell just serve plain cheese."
