Re: Cheesecake
That looks weird, it's about 70% cheese on it. D:
Wouldn't mind a bite, though.

Actually, there's usually less biscuit. I approve of this amount of biscuit.
And I think it's vanilla cheesecake.

Less? Oh dear.Renegade_Turner wrote:Actually, there's usually less biscuit. I approve of this amount of biscuit..
Might aswell just serve plain cheese.
Re: Cheesecake
It's cheeseCAKE. As in most cakes, the emphasis is on the sugary sweetness and tastes-so-good-iness. Unfortunately, that sugary sweetness is sticky and doesn't stay together. It's thicker than, say, whipped cream, but you still need something to keep it together. Ergo, someone decided to put the stuff on a biscuit.
Also, it's gooood.
Now I want to bake something.

Re: Cheesecake
They have salt in it ...
That's not the recipe i use, but they're typically the same ingredients in different proportions ...
Salt and baking powder are typical in anything that has a fluffy nature to it.
Also i like to use less baking powder so they're thinner ...

Re: Cheesecake
I don't think pancakes really count as a pastry.

Re: Cheesecake

It's still somewhat pastry esque ...
So cheese cake isn't a pastry either i guess :/ ...

Re: Cheesecake
Cakes are usually made from flour, eggs and sugar, and are always sweet desserts. A cake can be used as a cheesecake base, but the base can also be made from pastry or biscuit. So some cheesecakes aren't cakes, but might be pastries. Pastry is the name of both the end product, such as a pie, and the dough used to make it - in other words, pastry is made from pastry. English terms for these things are so confusing.Assaultman67 wrote:Hmm, I just googled it and apparently it isn't ... cakes and pastries are apparently different categories

Now I'm hungry and want to bake stuff. Curse you, delicious thread!
