In The Legend Of Zelda, you shove things up your ass. Or behind your shield, but it sure looks like it's going up his ass.

I think an equipment screen that uses a weight limit or a size limit would be fine. Like a certain amount of kg for the weight system, the size system could involve giving each item a mass number. LIke 10 cm(squared). It's a bit farfetched, but I think it or the weight limit system would do for a backpack. It does not need to be absolutely state of the art, does it? I've never had a problem with backpacks, except when you're allowed to carry too little, like in Deus Ex : Invisible War where everything from the candybars to the medkits to the biocells took up one additional space in your inventory, of which there was twelve. Yes, a CANDYBAR could take up a twelfth of your inventory. A CANDYBAR.

lol. ur right about the zelda stuff. I still havent beaten Majora's Mask, though :P . The rest is crap except for Ocarina of time (best N64 game ever). For me it's Cro-Mag Rally, Enigmo series (A lot of stuff that Brian made), Lugaru, BattleField, Ratchet and Clank, Beyond Good and Evil, Super Smash, Gran Turismo, Crash Team Racing, BurnOut, Donkey Kong (for Super Ninteno and N64 - best of them all), Need for Speed and a LoT mOrE!!!! :D

Look it up, it's an action RPG similar to Earthbound.

Homeworld 2 is a sick ass game. I played the demo for Homeworld 1, and then bought HW2 even though it has been out for like more than 2 years. It just looks really awesome with gigantic 3-D space battles of tiny fighters and battle cruisers.

For the same reasons, Supremecommander is looking really cool, the predecessor of Total Annihilation.

Yeah, the thing about Oblivion was that objects didn't have any volume, only weight. So, you could theoretically carry 4,000 scrolls, but you can't even carry 3 claymores because of the weight. It was kind of ridiculous.

I'm very intrigued as to the item screen in L2... there hasn't been any innovation in the inventory system for a long time. Maybe something 3-D where objects have certain dimensions...kind of like those 2-D grids but in 3-D.

But, then again, Lugaru is all about subtlety, and that is certainly not subtle.
